We arrived about 3:30pm on the day and there was nobody around...we wandered around and couldn't find anyone so - because there was no phone signal - we left and drove towards the nearest town until we could call them and ask them what to do once we got there. No signs at all...however they never called back and we had to make other arrangements. We got a text the next day asking where we were and pointing out that they don't ask for a deposit - they hadn't bothered checking the answerphone the day we were due but checked it once we said we had left a message the day before. So please make sure you check with them location etc; and we were also told that there are no cooking facilities despite what their website says so you might want to check that out as well before you leave home.

This review is unfair and inaccurate due to the reviewer not actually staying with us.
We were at the property all day waiting for the guests arrive and for some reason missed them. We are a farm and have quite a lot going on at any one time, the pods are secluded and require me to show guests to them.
Normally a guest will let me know of their arrival time or spend a bit of time trying to locate me at the farm either by peeping their horn or coming to the door.
I do not advertise cooking facilities as the camping pods are for camping and must not be confused with the self-catering which is on the same website.
Value for money is subjective and as these guests didn't use the pod at its sold rate of £35 per night they should not actually rate its value.
I contacted the reviewer to apologise at not getting message sooner.

We spent 2 night here in a pod. The pod was very comfortable, it had 2 mats and heater in, it was very clean and the view is amazing.
You can travel around East Cornwall from here, the location is very good and the owner if very very helpful and friendly :)

The only problem I had, that the toilet is quite far but otherwise everything is perfect!
We will go back, for sure :)

The pods are in a wonderful location, there's a fanatstic view and the site is the opposite of crowded. Also, the pods are basically new and surprisingly warm at night. They are provided of two confortable matrasses, so really only thing you need is a sleeping bag and a pillow. They also have a small heather. And it looks like they might be upgraded to have some electricity soon. Only downside: we felt the facilities should be some how organized to be closed to the pods. The pods are on top of a hill and if the weather is not perfect (as it wasnt during our second night) u really dont wanna go out in the crazy wind and rain and walk downhill in the complete dark looking for a portaloo. With a starry night and a more favorable weather of course it is another story :)

Truely magnificent, couldn't have asked for a more tranquille environment. I had the pleasure to stay in both Caradoc (such a beautiful house and the food was glorious!) and the holiday pods (views are incredible, and incredibly comfortable) and will no doubt be spending more holiday/relaxation time in this, one of a kind, location. The family that reside in the cottage were lovely, down to earth and friendly and will be most definantly missed! 5/5

Our stay in a holiday pod at Tregardock was just brilliant.
There are 3 pods perched on a hill overlooking the sea...it was sooooo quiet, and what a view!
The pods are really simple (they are literally a shed with a bed!) and we paid for linen and a camping kit (stove, pans, plates, salt/pepper etc).
We didn't see much of the owners but they were pleasant and helpful when we did. However we do think they may be missing a bit of a trick. Would be great to be able to buy a few simple things on site like fire wood, milk, eggs as once you arrive you really don't want to have to pop out!
The beach is a 10 minute walk down hill and it's truly stunning, I've attached some photos. Amazing to find a near empty beach on a sunny summers day!
If you can cope without electricity and don't mind a midnight trip to the portaloo then a holiday pod should not be missed.

Myself, my husband and 2 year old stayed for a long weekend in Caradoc Main House, in the downstairs part of the buidling. This is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom/showeroom apartment with a large open plan living/kitchen/dining room. The kitchen was very well stocked and held everything we needed to cater for ourselves apart from a microwave. There is a fabulous dining table capable of seating 12 guests and enough crockery etc to cope!

The door from the kitchen leads out onto a patio area with a view over the field dotted with sheep and the ocean below - a lovely spot to watch the sun set with a G&T.

This is perfect for those with young children as they can run around out front in a safe, contained area with chiickens, friendly cats, and grazing sheep to catch their attention.

Caradoc is in an extremely peaceful location, down a narrow road away from traffic and over looking the Atlantic. It's a five minute drive away from Delabole where you can pick up supplies and wonderful fish & chips.

We stayed at Julian's cottage for just one night. We were booked in for B&B but got much more. The cottage is well equipped, comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. Very soft and comfy bed. The owner, was very friendly and hospitable. The location is stunning - overlooking the sea. Only sounds to be heard are the waves below and the geese behind. A perfect getaway location.
