“Great foot ferry to Mount Edgecombe”
Review of Cremyll Ferry

We use this ferry regularly to head over to the Rame peninsular. There are a number of lovely walks around here and you can catch a bus form the Mount Edgecombe side if needed (but only about once an hour). The ferry has open air and covered sections and it takes about 10 muntues to cross. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
It is a great way to get to Cornwall from Plymouth across the narrowest part of the Tamar (saving a 50 minute drive!)

Used by a lot of people commuting to school or work, the Cremyll Ferry is nonetheless a very enjoyable ride from Admirals Hard landing quay just off Durnford Street in The Georgian part of Plymouth's Stonehouse district across the fast moving part of the Hamoaze entrance to the dockyard and river Tamar. It is a spectacular ride to the edge of Mount Edgecumbe Park and the recently much improved Edgecombe Arms pub. Cross on a good day and walk through the park.
