“One of my Favourite Places”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Over 35 years ago I first visited the Lizard & Kynance and have been regularly over those years. Free parking at the lizard village green and an approximate 15/20 minute walk to the lizard point itself. a few nice gift shops and lovely café. Nice food and reasonably priced. As for Kynance - most picturesque -National trust - car park fee or free for members. Again a 15/20 minute walk down to the sea. However PLEASE check tide times. Approximately two hours at the lizard and the rest of the day at the cove - what more could I ask for, sun sea and sand - beautiful sea colours - good for an artist also.

Went during a storm and it was outstanding. Beautiful landscape and coastline. There is only a tiny beach cafe if you want to do something more than enjoy the scenery, but this didn't bother us

High cliff edges, so not for the feint hearted or those who have difficulty walking. The lizard itself has a few shops and cafés though we didn't visit these.

A car is essential to get around!

“" A Very Unspoilt Part OF Cornwall"”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

This is a very beautiful unspoilt part of cornwall Thanks to The National Trust and is everything Lands End should be.First we visited Kynance Cove on a very sunny October morning, it is a good walk down from the NT: car park but the cove is very beautiful ,we have visited here when the tide is in and out and we prefer it when the tide is out but it does make for some stunning photos when the sea is rough. The rock formations here are very spectatular, visit the cafe and take those beautiful landscape photos and enjoy a cream tea.
Then on to Lizard point ,The Lighthouse and again parked
in the NT: car park, to visit the lighthouse and the old lifeboat jetty, a very scenic day out. Please note we are members of the NT: and it will cost you to park in both car parks if you are not.

“Unmissable, unforgettable”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

My hubby and I have visited the Lizard peninsula many times and it is one of our most favourite places. We love Lizard Point and Polpeor Cafe there, but tended to avoid Kynance Cove because of the parking fee. This summer we decided to go and so glad we did. What a beautiful place. Bit of a walk to get down there but well worth it, nice cafe, amazing views. Didn't want to leave!
