“Kynance Cove just breathtaking”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

Had seen a picture of the cove on the info board at our campsite and knew we had to go. Easy to find and a National Trust carpark which charges (approx £5) but NT members free - bonus. Two routes down to cove from carpark one a slopig path and the other cliff/steps. We went the cliff/steps route and as the cove came into view- WOW it was just gorgeous it was like looking at a beach in Thailand. The water was crystal clear and the sun was highlighting the cove beautifully. Once down there it was quite rocky to the back of the cove towards the cafe but walk around and an island of sand appeared surrounded by rocks. Watch the tide as it comes in quickly covering the whole cove so its best to call in the cafe or sunbathe on the cliff top. Well worth a visit especially on a sunny day.

“Unique british beach”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

Excellent experience to be had. 10 minute walk down to the cove that can be slightly tricky with armfuls of beach gear and kiddies but well worth it. Big car park at top, reasonably priced if you plan on spending the day here but a bit steep if you`re on a flying visit.
Staff helpful and friendly with a bit of good local knowledge if your lucky.
Be aware of the tides here though, it is not a place to visit at high tide unless you like playing sardines. Go a couple of hours before low tide and find a nook to settle in for the day. There are three beaches to choose to dip in and myriad little caves to explore and test your claustrophobia out in ! The main island has some deep and fascinating rock pools at low tide.....Fab !

“Beautiful”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

This is a beautiful and secluded cove. Clean turquoise water and amazing views, what else can one ask for. The beach cafe offers some nice food and cream teas.
Whether you get your own picnic lunch or eat at the cafe, doesn't matter, this is a stunning day out.
