There is a lot to do at the LIzard and a week is nowhere near long enough to see it all. Don't miss Helston, great for a stroll around interesting shops and a good place to collect together a tasty picnic to take to the park and its lovely boating lake - altough there's a decent cafe anyway.
Visit RNAS Culdrose, breakfast or cream tea at the cafe and tour the base if time allows - no guarantees on what you will see but the personnel will make it an informative and interesting trip. There's even a pensioner lunch deal!
Park at the top of the hill and walk down to Cadgwith Cove, buy the freshest sea food for a self catered dinner or just eat out at the Inn.
Go to the Lizard, but early or late when it's not so hectic; don;t miss Porthleven, Poldhu (if you want Marconi connections though, Porthcurno is better), Kennack Sands, Coverack .. there more..
But ESSENTIAL is a trip to Kynance Cove, if you want beaches check the tides as they are covered at high tide. At low tide though, an amazing collection of rocks and caves to explore. It's a trek down and there are better places to take the push chair but it is the most beautiful piece of Cornwall. At Kynance cafe really friendly staff serve consistently fantastic pasties, cakes and cream teas. Sit outside and soak up the views, watch the walkers dotting along the cliff paths. There's even a nice clean eco-friendly toilet block courtesy of the National Trust. It's got the lot!

This is the best place you can ever be for a summer break. Hiking to top of the cliff to see breathtaking scenery of the cove. When you are tired, have a break in the cafe which is uniquely located in the cove area, hidden in between the cliffs. Stunning scenery. Highly recommended.

This is by far the best place for a summer holiday in England. We really enjoy having lunch at Polpeor Cafe which is the most Southerly cafe of England, overlooking the sea.

Brilliant !!!!
A visit to Cornwall would not be complete without a visit to The Lizard such a beautiful unspoilt area, unlike Lands End which has been spoilt

We visited the Kynance Cove Cafe for a well earned cream tea having walked some of the coastal path. It was without a doubt the best cream tea we had in Cornwall! Lovely location and very quick service. Kynance itself was beautiful and so is the Lizard as a whole, however don't be tempted to visit the village of Lizard. Having imagined that it was a quaint Cornish fishing village, we were fairly disappointed to learn that it really has nothing to offer other than shops selling tourist tat! Cadgwith Cove however is stunning and a must see!
