Fantastic range of wild flowers on the cliffs. It was great to visit at this time of year, before things get too busy!

“You wouldn't believe its England”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

Such a stunning coastline with idyllic views, aqua seas and sandy beaches. You could mistake it for somewhere much more exotic.

A great place for photographers, hikers, families etc.

Kynance Cove is a favourite. We've been 3 times over the last 7 years. The tide comes in fast so watch out. The beach cafe does great made-to-order sandwiches, jacket potatoes, ice creams, etc.

Kennack Sands is a beautiful family-friendly beach down a very narrow lane. There is a carpark right next to the beach along with 2 cafes/beach shops. We had sandwiches from the one nearest the beach in May 2012 and they were great; bacon cooked to order and all very generous.

Porthleven on the top left of The Lizard is a lovely harbour village.

The Lizard point itself is the most Southernly point in mainland England and worth a visit, but not that accessible, we visited before having children & buggy in tow.

“scenery & history”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

The coats walk from Kynance round to the Lizard is excellent, even in bad weather. Kynance itself is a beautiful cove. But further round the coast are two historic treasures: Marconi's station where the first trans-Atlantic radio signals were sent, and the Lloyd's building where ships returning to Britain would signal ashore. If only it was easy to get a pasty after 2:30!

“Stunning”
Reviewed May 25, 2012

The rugged coast line at the Lizard is great, I much prefer coming here to going to Lands End. The views are great and I love going there. Kynance Cove is simply my favourite place in England. The beach and rocky outcrops are beautiful. We were there at the end of the season, I could imagine the cove being very busy in the summer. I will back to visit and soon!

“Very pretty area”

Beautiful bays and lovely rugged countryside and beaches, especially if the weather is kind!

Plenty of places to eat and drink around the area and people extremely friendly and helpful.
