“Sea Acres at kennack Sands”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

stayed in Poltesco caravan at kennack sands Sea acres site, site was very clean and quiet. good facilities, caravan overlooking the sea was lovely, very clean although bedding was a little tired looking so we went out and bought cheap pillows quilt and mattress protector, otherwise no complaints at all. location is excellent, 10 min walk down to beach, little longer coming back. Coastal path to Cadgewith( approx 2 miles) very easy and spectacular views, woukld recommend for a base in which to explore the lizard which is a beautiful area.

We went away Mon-Fri in a Kenack caravan (no 61), we stayed in number 62 last year. The caravan wasn't a 2012 model as described by the Parkdean agent we booked with over the phone as it was the same as the year before.
The caravan had a bit of wear and tear as expected, missing light fitting, missing curtain tie etc but was in a good clean condition.
The park is lovely, the pool is on the small side and as someone else said the changing rooms are dated.
If you like to make the most of the entertainment this might not be the park for you, as only have bingo each night and cabaret. There are also only 6 fruit machines in the gaming area and not all the lights on the machines work so make it very difficult to play!
When on the lizard you have to visit Ann's pasties and then find a lovely place to eat them, we always go to Church Cove and sit on the little bench where no one else is and watch the tide come in.

Room Tip: Make sure you fill up with petrol from Tesco in Helston before you go to the park as there is only o...

If you like sitting doing nothing and looking out to sea then this is the place for you. The views really are breathtaking and I believe they would be hard to beat in this Country

The site itself is small, entertainment isn't great (we heard the kids entertainment was good though), swimming pool is very inviting even though the changing rooms are quite dated. Staff are all very accommodating, very friendly and always happy to help

The South West Coast Path runs through the park, we walked to Cadgwith Cove one day. It's about 3 miles and a bit rocky in places with a couple of steep bits but we really enjoyed it

For those of you who can't do without live Sport, there is a small pub just up the hill - look out for it on your way in, it's called The Potter's Bar. Or you could always take your entertainment pass and go to Parkdean Mullion, it's only a 10 minute drive away

The beach is about a 10 minute walk downhill, which of course means it's uphill on the way back. Not recommended for people with small children or people who are not very good on their feet. There is a big car park at the bottom of the hill (chargeable) and there are toilet facilities on the beach, just a very short walk up a small hill

Room Tip: You would be very unlucky not to get a sea view here

My boyfriend and I Just got back for a 3 night stay in a Kennack caravan at sea acres.
Our caravan (no 062) was clean and comfortable and had great views over Kennack sands and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
We actually did not use any of the facilities in the park as we did not need to. We were too busy exploring the small towns/villages around the area.
Musts to explore and visit for us were...
Poldhu beach - great beach very pretty
Poltesco and carleon cove- took us a while to find it down all the windy roads but is only a few mins from the park and definately worth a visit. Check out national trust for info.
Lizard village/lizard point - great lil village with gift shops, great chip shop and pubs and good place to start from on foot to explore.
Ann's pasties - in lizard village best pasties ever!
Kennack sands - short walk from the park beautiful beach
Park is a bit off the beaten track and you may feel like your in the middle of no where but we found it a great base, short drives can get you anywhere, sat nav is very handy.
15 min drive from the park in Heston right next to flambards is a sainsburys great to stick up on food and snacks and petrol. Also sales alot of Cornish products.
We had a great holiday. Love cornwall

This was the first time at a caravan park for half of us (6 Adults & 6 Children in 2 caravans) after my daughter asked us to come with them, they were in Cornwall last year at a different caravan park.
The site was not too large and very clean, the staff were pleasant and helpful especially at reception. We visited places i.e. Lands End, The Lizard, Poltesco, Marazion & St Michael's Mount using the park as a base, so it was nice to get back sort out the kids, plan the next day have a drink in a peaceful and pleasant park after a long day. We had a day at the beach (Kennack Sands), used the on site indoor swimming pool on a wet and windy day. This was my only disappointment of the stay in that the life guards left the doors open at the end of the pool allowing leaves and cut grass to be blown in to the pool (Possible choking hazard) also this allowed a very cold wind into that end of the pool (Possible Cold Injury hypothermia) so you had to go into the toddlers pool to warm up, especially the children, I can only assume as the pools are nicely heated the life guards get too hot so they leave the doors open. The site has good facilities for the children.
Overall a pleasant weeks stay.

Stayed in the Kynnance caravan, very clean, spacious and comfortable, with decking directly over looking amazing views of the sea and beach. Very relaxing holiday, despite 2 kids 10 & 7, they were able to nip to the play area, mini golf, Nisa shop on site, safely and wander together which they enjoyed the freedom & so did we!! (Take a scooter mine were never off them.) Used the diving facilities which were great and nighttime entertainment too, sooo much effort made by Jo and Steve, well done, good fun.
Fab restaurant on site too, only small and you have to book which was not a problem, we ate evening meal twice and breakfast the day we left, lovely choice, very tasty and reasonably priced which surpirsed us, great value for money! Quite a journey but well worth it, visited Lands End and St Michaels Mount, Flambards and St Ives, all easy enough to reach. Thanks Sea Acres keep up the good work!
