“Great atmosphere, location & burgers complete with locally brewed beer”
Reviewed November 5, 2013 via mobile

Attractive 15thC pub in The Lizard. Great location for the end of a walk or visiting most southerly point in UK.
Cosy inside with log fire roaring. Friendly bar staff. We tried the Voodoo and Nemo burgers. Huge, excellent presentation and the option of a fiery chilli sauce. Definitely sated the appetite. Extra marks for being able to sample locally brewed beer. A winner.

“Good value and quality”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

Used this restaurant 3 times in the last week and cannot fault the service or quality of the meals.
All meals are cooked to order and the catch of the day is always interesting.

“two fabulous meals in one week”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

we had a delicious carvery on the first sunday of our holiday - absolutely delicious-then another lovely lunch time meal later on in the week.
crab sandwich and fish and chips both really lovely.

I would have given it 10/10 but for a noisy family inside (not the pubs fault) - felt sorry for the little boy who was being told off constantly by mother and spoilt atmosphere somewhat.-BUT THE FOOD WAS BRILLIANT

“Cornish Voodoo”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

We had lunch here while staying in the luxurious former pilchard processing depot, The Cellars, near by. A quaint traditional pub with a good range of local beers and drinks. Our meals included the notorious voodoo hot burger with an unbelievably hot sauce which will remain a talking point when recalling this holiday. The meals were good, despite the Specials being off because the chef had to scamper off to man the lifeboat. The regular menu provided plenty of tasty options at reasonable prices. Service was friendly and good, despite troublesome cheese that refused to melt on the burger and had to be replaced.

“The Lone Diner”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

Food very good value. Atmosphere excellent - a proper old-fashioned pub with regulars at the bar. Staff welcoming. As a woman eating out alone, I felt very comfortable and at ease.
