We stayed for a wonderful week in The Linhay over May half term and we enjoyed every second of it. It is always hard to find really nice self catering accommodation for just two people but this fitted the bill perfectly. We were really lucky to have fantastic weather but The Linhay would be a great place to stay even if it rained as it was so comfortable - a real home from home. In fact we liked it so much that we've come home and planned to decorate our house in the same nautical style ! The bed was nice and soft and the only thing you could hear at night was the distant sound of cows snoring - although that might have been my husband snoring after one too many Rattler ciders !

There was a lovely welcome pack of food including some delicious fudge and the owner made us feel very welcome.

We didn't stray very far as there is so much to do nearby. The Point is just down the road and is a great place to eat and watch the sun go down as is Cafe India in Polzeath, which has to be the best view to accompany a curry anywhere ! Rock is certainly the place to watch the Boden catalogue families at play whilst eating ice cream! Daymer Bay is one of the best beaches in the UK and you can park right by it and walk round to Rock when the tide is out. Padstow is great for retail therapy and a spot of lunch but if you want to park at the car park in Rock to get to the ferry, you need to get there early as it fills up quickly.

All in all, a great place to stay and it was very hard to leave. We will definitely return soon.

We had an absolutely great few days staying in the Mill house at Moyles farm and couldn’t believe how amazing the house was. It has everything one needs and very comfortable and welcoming. A great place and if you are thinking og booking do not delay you will not be disappointed.

We stayed in the Linhay. As at the date of this review there have been 15 five star reviews and I am pleased to add another one.

The owners are very pleasant and helpful.

Linhay is a converted cart shed, effectively a rebuild and fitted out to a high standard. The aspect is to the south and west and this means the cottage gets plenty of sun and it is very nice to sit outside in the sun with some protection from the wind. 2 sets of doors open onto the seating area.

Everything you might need in a cottage has been thought of. There is wifi, decent TV and radio. There is a gas hob with electric oven/grill, large fridge/freezer. The central heating is effective and also provides plenty of hot water. In the bathroom there is a monsoon type shower and the water pressure is such that it works properly, there is also a large heated towel rail. Other than the bathroom it is open plan accommodation split into 3 areas namely kitchen/dining, sitting and bedroom which is ideal as this is a cottage designed for a couple to stay in. For cooler times there is a log burner, we did not use it as the cottage was warm enough.

This is a very relaxing place to stay in a beautiful spot.

What can I say that has not already been said? Would I recommend to friends and family - absolutely (as I already have!). Amanda has created at Moyles Farm something for everyone - the cute Shepherds hut for love struck couples; the Linhay for couples plus possibly a little one; the cottage for families (with a view to die for); and the Mill House for sophisticated 2 family gatherings. Something for everyone!
The only things that could be improved? The weather (in March!) - and a pub within easy walking distance!! But nevertheless we had a fab time - and will be back!

Room Tip: I'm sure that the others are equally as fantastic as the Linhay - but the cottage is the one wit...

Just arrived home from a lovely weekend at The Linhay for my partner's birthday. Perfect for a quiet romantic getaway. We enjoyed a warm welcome, a well equipped place to stay and a fantastic walk along the coast. Couldn't recommend it enough!

As enthusiastic dog owners, it’s always our mission to find holiday accommodation that welcomes four-legged friends as well as us two-legged folk! It’s an even greater mission to find accommodation of a luxurious standard that is dog-friendly.

My husband and I (plus our trusty hound) have recently spent 3 days/nights at The Linhay on Moyles Farm. Situated in a spectacular rural setting, with rustic countryside all around – this impeccably presented (and fully equipped) split-level converted cart barn is both highly comfortable and aesthetically-pleasing (these two rarely go hand-in-hand!)

Every element of The Linhay is finished to a 5* standard – not least the blissful shower and exceptionally comfortable bed. In fact – it would be all too easy not to even venture outside for the entirety of your stay. Of course, this would be a great shame as it is perfectly located with surfer’s favourite Polzeath beach in close proximity and the stunning natural beauty of Constantine and Boobys Bay just a short drive away. We also took the ferry (also dog-friendly) from Rock to the beautiful Cornish harbour town of Padstow, as well as visiting the picturesque fishing village Port Isaac.

With a plethora of perennial countryside walks literally on your doorstep – plus the welcoming heat of blazing log fires in a wealth of local countryside pubs – Moyles Farm really is a retreat for all seasons.

Its very important to us that dogs are able to come and enjoy Cornwall as well as their owners. So glad you had such a good time. Come back soon.
