I'm a Premier Inn fan and always try and stay in one if I'm venturing away. We enjoyed our stay, found all the staff friendly and helpful and the Table Table restaurant that was attached was great. We didnt book for breakfast and had no trouble getting a table for three. The only minor grumble was the creaky floorboards in the corridors and the rooms. Very strange to have such creakiness from a modern hotel. That said, it didnt affect our stay and our relaxed attitude from some great days at the beaches and a good nights sleep won the day :-)

Stayed here as a base for travelling to local beaches. Visited lots of beaches and harbour towns, as well as the Eden Project and Lanhydrock, all less than 10 miles away. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, both in the hotel and in the - very busy at times - Table Table next door. Liam from Table Table in particular was brilliant, and seemed to not have any time off! Only slight criticism, that didn't affect our stay, was very creaky floorboards - in the corridor and in our room. Luckily we were on the ground floor, so hopefully didn't disturb anyone too much, and the floor above us seemed much quieter. Just wish parents would try and teach their children to not run down corridors shouting and screeching at night! No noise late at night though, so perfect for families.

Room Tip: Upper floor may have less creaky floorboards.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and really couldnt fault the place. The reception staff were cheerful and imformative not only at check in but throughout our stay. The staff were thoughtful enough to open a window and put the fan on prior to our arrival, which we continued to do through out our stay each time we left the room which ensured a cool fresh room on return. The tea and coffee was replenished daily without prompt.

It is on the outskirts of St Austell however I feel the location is not out the way as it is very close to the main roads and bus routes. Tesco is not that far to drive to and I believe its 24 hours but if you drive a bit further along the road you will also find Asda. Ideal place to stay when visiting the Eden Project as it isnt too far away. However with the forementioned main roads close by is a good base to travel to other places of interest and attractions.

Breakfast is a short walk to the Carclaze Table Table next door. Typical all you can eat continental and full breakfast on offer. Well stoked cereal and juice bar which was constantly being refilled. Cooked breakfast was to order and was great- the grill staff here are very good as were the waiting staff.

Great experience I will definitely choose this PI again!
Thank you.

We picked this hotel due to its close proximity to the Eden project and the surrounding Cornish beaches.

We checked in and were allocated room 6. This room had flooded due to a blocked toilet at some point and as a result there is an unbearable urine stench. The staff were quiet helpful and offered to clean the room, however this made no difference as the smell comes from deep within the foundations. There is also a low pitched winning / buzzing sound which appears to be coming from the adjacent room – maybe a fan or pump.

Also there is no air conditioning, so it gets very hot, and the floors both in the room and the hallway creak!

Other than these issues the breakfast & staff are great!

No doubt because of its Cornish location this was quite an expensive stay for 3 nights. £74 per night plus breakfast is not a bargain and although Premier inn have raised the standard of British motel accommodation Whitbread are in danger of providing poor value for money. The associated Carglaze table table proved impossible to book a table on arrival and was bursting at the seams. In fact the Premier inn is miles outside St Austell so they have something of a monopoly. The accommodation meets Premier Inn standards and is perfectly adequate.
