This Premier Inn is well located for The Eden Project. The reception staff are courteous & helpful making checking in very easy. The rooms were clean & of a good size, there was plenty of parking & the location was surprisingly quiet although it is near a main road. The breakfast was very good & we didn't have to wait long to be served. The receptionist suggested reserving a table for the evening (which she arranged) & this was good advice because other people in front of us that hadn't booked had to wait a long time to be seated as it was busy. Despite some negative reviews of the restaurant it was very good for the 2 dinners & breakfasts were had there & would eat there again.

The hotel was very good & the pub next door was better than expected. I would definitely stay there again & recommend it as a place to stay to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the sea.

Apologies for the cliche, but this hotel was just what we wanted - a convenient stopover so we could go to the Eden Project the next day (which is very close). It was easy to find, good parking, very helpful staff, good size room, clean, etc. Breakfast was very good too. Good value for money. We asked about going into St Austell for the evening, and were steered by the receptionist into going to Charlestown - a small cove with plenty going on - boats, pub, restaurants - a very good recommendation.

The hotel was very good as you would expect of a Premier Inn. We went to the restaurant for an evening meal and were told that there was a wait of around 25 minutes. The meal came in about that time and was quite good. Next morning we went for breakfast and were asked to order the amount of items that we wanted from a list; not like the usual buffet style breakfasts. We then waited for about 25 minutes until breakfast came. Next morning was even longer as they were a chef down. Not sure why there can't be a buffet like every other Premier Inn i have stayed in. If i'm travelling or on a break i want to eat and get on my way, waiting for half an hour with hungry children is not a great start to the day.

Stayed for nearby school reunion after checking prices, this was the best compromise of price v quality locally. St Austell is a dump but well placed as a base for nicer places in Cornwall. Go to Pearce's or Tregonissey butchers for top pasties ! Carlyon Bay beach has badly and sadly deteriorated since I left Cornwall (1991). Welcoming staff and clean room. Ask for a room with a view. Would recommend a short stay here. The Carclaze pub was popular too.

Can't complain at all. Good clean hotel. Very convenient location with parking. Good on site restaurant with great breakfast and meals. You can even see the sea in the distance on a clear day. Very good value for money.

This Premier Inn is on the outskirts of the town and is situated on a small industrial/office estate. The views from the south facing windows look down the hill and have sea views (at a distance). I would say this was the highest standard of premier Inn we have stayed in. Very modern and clean. Large flat screen TV on wall. Large comfortable bed, and a spare bed which we used to put our cases on. Staff on reception very pleasant, quite homely and kind. There was a table table restaurant to have breakfast (extra cost). The continental breakfast was a good deal at £5.25 for all you could eat. Only niggle was the soap dispenser in the bathroom did not seem to work all the time. Not sure if it was broken, or just tricky to use? Did not report. I personally did not like the scent of it either. (Note to self...bring own soap next time) Overall a good stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view on first floor.

A good hotel about 3 miles from the citycenter. near the Eden Project. Frindley and helpful staf. clean and good rooms with bad shower toilet en one dubbel bed and a coutch that can transfered in a single bed. Verry good restaurant with a good choice for everyboddy with a great service.
The hotel view is verry nice bycose it is on a hill site. Plenty of carspace. Not recommanded for travelers without a car. .
