The jungle area is stunning and you need to have the time to get round it all. All of it is lovely but the jungle is exciting. Their plant sales are really cheap too with some unusual plants at prices that are low compared to other places. Good cakes too!

This was the 3rd or 4th time I've been there, this time with Australian friends who loved it. Just as beautiful as ever.

This beats the Eden Project hands down. A lot more laid back, the beautiful lay and the wonderful history gripped me for the entire visit.

I'll be visiting again. Soon!

An awesome place. We were amazed at what we saw and we enjoyed exploring the different areas. Excellent value for money and well worth the £11 entry fee. The Jungle garden is magical and as we wandered throughout the gardens we thought we were back in New Zealand. A very beautiful peaceful place with lots of benches to sit on and take in the wonderful surroundings. We loved the wheelie benches on the large grass area so you were always sitting in the sun if you wanted too! An excellent hide containing lots of information including short films etc.

We were cycling the Pentewan Trail from St. Austell to Mevagissey and back on a sunny Sunday in late August. We were going to have fish and chips in Meva but decided Heligan would be a more healthy option. Being Sunday, there was roast on offer with a selection of vegetables... Oh dear, not only did the maggot in the turnip put me off, as well as it being riddled with maggot holes, the lamb was overly fatty and only cool, the vegetables weren't hot, the roast spuds seemed to have been standing around for a long time, the sauce that had been used to smother the vegetables, while maybe to some peoples taste, was not at all nice. Why, when it's such a good garden, can't the food be prepared with equal care, and so retain some of its natural taste? I couldn't eat the dinner and one of the staff very kindly refunded my money. We went on to Meva and had the best fish and chips we'd had for years!
