Beautiful tranquil gardens hidden away on Cornwall. Would be ideal to visit in the summer when flowers stein bloom and the living sculptures would be viewed at there best.

Over 200 acres and a lot of different areas to see. We saw about 3/4 (if that!) of it in around 4 hours... did the jungle walk guide with the gardeners - good value for £2 (for the guided walk) although it was clear other visitors had just turned up without paying the £2. They really should collect the tickets for this before the guide starts.

Hot lunch we thought a little expensive (£9 each) - but it was a roast dinner - and they need more control over portion sizes - the people behind us got 3 slices of meat - we got only 2 (different servers) and they got lots more veg! I was going to complain but the missus shushed me down.

In the tea room £1.40 each for a watery luke warm cardboard cup of tea was also a bit steep and a bit naff. Proper tea for two with a 'teapot' etc would have been nice.

Notwithstanding these gripes we had a great visit with lots more to see than last time we visited some years ago. So much so that we became friends of Heligan today, where for £25 each u can visit as many times as you like during the year and you get your entrance fee back for that day. A great day out....

Have meant to visit heligan for a long time and was not disappointed what a lot of hard work has been put into this project and obviously is ongoing. Staff very helpful and friendly it was a lovely sunny day and such a lot to see all very interesting and well signed. Cafe was great good selection and the best cheese scones. Will be going back in the summer when all the flowers will be in bloom. Thank you to all the staff.

Really enjoyed a day at the Lost Garcdens of Heiligan. The grounds are extensive and there are different areas including jungle trek, woodland walk, vegetable gardens, italian gardens and more.
Our toddler enjoyed wandering freely between the differnt areas however parent should be aware that the site is very steep in parts - so plan your route carefully, especially if you have a buggy.
Our visit was in March and therefore there wasn't a whole lot of fruit, veg or spring growth to see yet. Even so, it was still an enjoyable time and took approx 3 hours to see fully.

We thought the lost gardens were wonderful but we only found a sign to it when we were outside it! We came from the Lizard area and decided to go across country rather than up to St Austell and then down. However we could find no road signs and did not have sat nav. So we struggled a bit and I am surprised it is not signposted better.
The cafe is wonderful, we had the most delicious lunch and it was very cheap we felt. The info given on arrival was very good. It was a lovely day and as it was out of season, was quiet. Lovely to sit on a bench in the sun in the jungle.
