“Fantastic hospitality!”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

We had an amazing summer stay at the Lookout guesthouse. A very high standard of accommodation, modern and well maintained. A fantastic breakfast with the best 'hogs pudding' we found in Cornwall. But, most of all fantastic hosts; warm and welcoming with brilliant local recommendations.

We know that it has been an eventful year for you both and appreciate you taking the time to post a review. Jackie and I are really pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We are glad the locally sourced hogs pudding was to your liking - we have found a great supplier for all our pork products. Many thanks once again and we wish you all the very best for the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lookout Guesthouse. The rooms are beautifully decorated and of high quality and standard. Steve and Jackie did their utmost to make our stay easy for us and nothing was too much for them - they even gave us a ride to the restaurant around the corner. This is definitely the best B&B we have stayed in during our Cornwall trip. Highly recommend and looking forward to staying with you soon again.

A well appointed b and b - well furnished and very clean, tidy and beautifully decorated. The little extra touches were great - owners let me put a bottle of wine in the fridge to chill - much appreciated.

Excellent breakfast with great views of the bay and nothing too much trouble - great hosts would recommend.

Glad that you managed to take in so much of this fantastic stretch of beautiful Cornwall.

We look forward to seeing you again at ‘The lookout’.

I had what can only be described as the pleasure of staying here on the penultimate night of my John O'Groats to Lands End cycle ride. During my ride I stayed in quite a few B&Bs, and this was staggeringly good.

Incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts, the building itself is just lovely, the room was spacious and modern with a lovely bathroom. There was a choice of DVDs and books to borrow, and the bed was as comfy as could be.

However the breakfast took it to another level. Lovely food, with quite possibly the best view of any B&B I've ever stayed in. If you pick one B&B to stay in in Cornwall - make it this one!

Most importantly… WELL DONE….. That was a fantastic achievement. To have cycled from John o’Groats to Lands End…raising hundreds of pounds for such a worthy cause. If I had even attempted to cycle up to 65 miles daily.. as you did I would have been hospitalised for a year!!

Many thanks for your review and kind comments regarding ‘The Lookout’. We are pleased you found ‘The Cove’ room so comfortable on what was your last stop-over. Glad you enjoyed the breakfast and the view from the breakfast room… has to be said even when the Cornish sea mist starts to roll in it is very atmospheric.

Look forward to seeing you in the future…maybe come by car…or train next time.. : o )

Once again well done.

Regards

Stayed in the Double Sea Room. A very warm welcome with tea and cakes. Excellent knowledge of the local area. The rooms were stylish, bed was very comfy, TV/DVD, tea facilities (range of choice in teas), lovely bathroom with robe and amazing view - lovely to wake up with the sun rise. Breakfast was very tasty and filling, lots of choice and the cooked breakfast was made exactly to our individual choices. Will be returning for a longer visit in the summer. Fully recommend this B&B - well deserved 5*s !

An excellent 5* bed & breakfast. We were greeted by Steve & Jackie, who are the best hosts. We stayed in the Double Sea Room, with alovely view, tea & coffee facilities in the room and a bottle of water which was a nice touch. The room is luxurious to say the least. Breakfast menu in room. Breakfast will fill you up for the whole day. Steve & Jackie's knowledge of the area is great. We had the best stay ever, you must try this bed & breakfast for yourself.

Room Tip: Only 3 rooms, all excellent, Suite is your want to be on the ground floor

Fantastic review from fantastic people.
We are very happy you found so much to your liking with ‘ The Sea ‘ room and that you enjoyed your stay here at ‘The Lookout‘. You certainly managed to walk a fair slice of this beautiful area . It was very thoughtful of you to give Jackie a card and choc’s for her birthday….really meant a lot to her….to the both of us. My favourite was the caramel……...well and the coconut…… and the praline and……… : o)

Jackie and I hope the rest of your stay in Cornwall went well and look forward to having you with us again, here at ‘The Lookout’.

This is an outstanding B and B. We had the Garden Suite, a large bedsitting room with a window out onto our own patio area. The furnishing was stylish and well thought-out and there was consistent attention to detail - you really do need 2 knives at breakfast!

Steve and Jackie are attentive and considerate hosts and the Eden Project - the purpose of our visit was a 10 minute drive away.

Full marks.
