basic food, staff very nice and helpful. Had a couple of bad meals here a couple of good meals. found it better to go early afternoon when older staff on as a lot more helpful. The youngsters tend not to help you as much or they dont know is there reply. good disabled facilities for wheelchair users.

“Loved is so much we went back again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2011

Was reccomended this by a local and was not disappointed at all - 1st time I had New York chicken which was 2 chicken breasts covered in bacon, barbeque sauce and loads of melted cheese, yummy, my hubby had steak and ale pie, gramps had sweet and sour chicken - all good quality and generous portions. We managed to save a bit of room for pud. Hubby and me shared a huge chocolate brownie thing with loads of icecream - he ate most of it - gramps had sticky toffee pud.
2nd time I had surf and turf - steak was cooked to perfection and it had a mushroom sauce, hubby had the New York chicken and loved it - Gramps had lamb cutlets with veg - he was very impressed with the tenderness of the lamb but he said the carrots were tinned. Hubby had a knickerbocker glory which was huge - I had a bit of that but only a couple of mouths full of icecream coz I was full up as was gramps.

Good food, Good service not too noisey as well.

“Great food, great value & excellent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2011

We have been going here for quite a few years now as the food is excellent and tasty, generous sized portions, presentation is also excellent, staff are always friendly and courteous. We continue to go here as we can not seem to find anyway else as yet that is up to the quality of the Holmbush Inn. I will say that you must try the chocolate fudge sharer it's one of our favourite deserts 8). We have also taken our family there for special occasions as it's great value for money too.
