“Excellent accomodation, lovely location”
Reviewed June 3, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Cottage interior was both excellent and charming. Location was quiet and peaceful with a lovely view down to the sea from both the windows and decking veranda. Whilst there you'd think you were miles from any major town but actually where only a mile or so from St Austell.

Particularly enjoyed the nearby cliff top footpath although I wouldn't recommend this to the very young or slightly infirm.

Cottage had both HD TV and WiFi which were a boon on the evenings some of our party were too tired to go out.

“The most beautiful, tranquil retreat with the finest view of the sea”
Reviewed December 3, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

I am local to this part of Cornwall and can honestly say you won't find a more comfortable, clean and equipped cottage near the sea. It takes minutes to walk to the beach and Charlestown is close by also. The views are outstanding from all the windows which makes you not want to go out. Open Fire with supplies, home made cake, fresh coffee and tea. What a wonderful place!

if you want the best, you can get no better than The old school house. Many thanks to Rachel for her kindness to us, while we stayed in her wonderful house. It is very handy that the owners only live across the road, if you need anything they are on hand, but unless you need something you never see them.
The house is 5 star, it has everything you would ever want.

Thanks again for a great great house

“Highly recommended”
Reviewed January 10, 2014 for a stay in November 2013

This property is immaculately presented, and in a beautiful location, right by the sea front. We desperately needed a break, and this place really makes you feel aq though you have escaped city life. It's a 'home from home', with everything you could possibly need. We had our 5 month old with us, and the owner provided a travel cot and a high chair.

The Eden Project is minutes away by car. We only wished we had booked a longer break!

“Excellent Property”
Reviewed November 12, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

5 * cottage with lovely views. Lovely log fire and well equipped kitchen. Games, books and CD's available. Good information booklet. Close to the Eden project and walkable down the hill to the beach. Private parking. The table was set for afternoon tea and cake from Rachel & chocolates on the pillows. Wi-Fi available. Would highly recommend.

“Beautiful light character cottage with lovely views and garden”
Reviewed November 4, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We really enjoyed our week here. The cottage is lovely and has all those useful touches that also make it very liveable (e.g enough storage, free shelves & hooks plus good instructions for everything). We had a very peaceful time enjoying the views with an open fire on a couple of nights. The nearby beach is great, as was Rachels cake...mmmm.
