Very friendly and well worth a visit .
A real working brewery which produce some good beers with a well stocked shop not to mention the bar upstairs which you can sample/buy/drink most of the beers currently brewed on site-the food served here is excellent, imaginative and tasty with great surroundings.
The staff are clearly informative and make genuine effort to make eveyone welcome .
The brewery tour is well worth it which is made interesting by the fact is everything from start to finish is covered so you learn about the whole process which finishes in the museum giving the entire history of the brewery.
Worth making time for !

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

The brewery tour takes about an hour and involves some climbing of stairs. The guide was informative and talked the process through from malt to finished product. A pity that the growing of barley and malting was tacked on at the end though. Samples of the products are available at the end of the tour.

“Nice experience”

Not veyr far from the centre of town, the St-Austell brewery offers an alocoholi/souvenir shop on the first floor and a nice museum and bar on the second floor. On the bar, they offer beer tasting for all their beers, and staff are very generous and friendly. Definitely enjoyed my visit. You will too if you like local beers.

Can reccomend a trip to the St Austell brewery. Only a short walk from the town centre and train station. Very friendly and informative guide who took us through the whole history of the brewery and the process of brewing. First time I've been to a fully working brewery, very interesting. Free tasting of the different beers and ale at the end of the tour, as well as two half pints of beer included. Unfortunatly we didn't have a car, so no bottles from the giftshop.

“A must in the West Country”

The tour is wonderful, informative, and very one to one.
Staff were so friendly and helpful.
and the products are out of this world, from its famous Tribute beer, to its not so famous but equally wonderful Tribute Chutney.
The restaurant is superb.
Cant praise St Austell Brewery highly enough.
If only all companies in the UK were run as this. The economy would be in a whole better shape.
A company run on ethics, and care of its employees, both past and present.
