As tent campers we have stayed at this site over the last 30 years, but this time we decided to rent a family sized lodge for our stay. The lodge was very well appointed and slept six with two bathrooms, TV in two bedrooms and the lounge/dining/kitchen area. The lodge enjoyed views over the English Channel, which could be seen from the extensive decking area.
The overall site has been extended over the years, and now offers a choice of accommodation for tents, caravans, motorhomes, as well as rental mobile homes and lodges.
The general quality of the facilities was good but the shop/cafe could do with a re-vamp to make it more attractive for meals and extend the range of goods on offer.
Access to the local beach is difficult, and you need to be fit to do the return trip on foot. Don't take a vehicle down as the road is very narrow and steep. Parking is limited and restricted at the bottom by the owners, the National Trust.
As with much of coastal Cornwall, you cannot go rushing about the narrow hedged lanes, as passing places are the norm and if you miss one you might find yourself having to reverse to allow passing traffic.
Access to the Cornwall Coastal Footpath is good from the site but cycling could be a dangerous pursuit on the narrow lanes!
Despite these restrictions it still remains and attractive site to stay, and you can enjoy the large swimming pool with your free pass.

First holiday in our sparkly new tent. Seaview was the perfect start. Clean, well maintained and helpful staff who looked after us when we realised our hook up cable was too short! Highly recommended!

Nice site, but not outstanding. Don't quite understand the rave reviews. Staff are very friendly, but facilities are average. Stayed in an annex part of the site in a static caravan. You cannot let young children roam free as there is a road and main entrance way between this part and the main site and facilities (play ground, pool, shop etc), so cars are continually driving across and into the site. No real restaurant as such, as they serve set menus each evening from hot Dishes in seating area next to the shop which they call a cafe. No bar either, but they did have optics behind the shop counter (which is a bit odd). Clean and tidy. Pool nice, but the caravan and site was not what was we expected from a '5 star' site.0h by the way. The local beach advertised is down a very steep road/track. Almost 1 in 10. Not recommended for buggies, or bikes ( way too steep to cycle back). It's a long walk. Although it is not suitable to drive down, people do, giving virtually no room to pass pedestrians. Bit concerning with very young kids. Having taken 3 kids with bikes and buggy down and back, we were shattered by the distance and steepness.

We upgraded and stayed in the paddock, the pitches were huge, bathrooms spotless and the site had everything we needed. the area has some fantastic beaches. Playpark was suitable for both my 1 and 7 year old children which Is rare to find. Even enough room for us all to play rounders on the field. Pool was lovely and clean and would suit all ages. We met some great people too!

Room Tip: Rooms and fitness centre don't apply I clicked by accident!

Although the road for the last mile to the site was difficult for our motorhome it was worth it.
The very well maintained site was a joy. Our pitch was huge (bay view perimeter) and we easily had our 24ft long motor home, tow car and large awning with plenty of space left over for our chairs.
All staff were friendly and the toilet/shower block was one of the best we have had the pleasure of visiting.
A good dog walk on site with dog doo bins as well as a fenced enclosure you can let the dogs off.
We had the Sunday carvery which was good value for money.
Not the best location if you want an easy walk to the beach but a short drive away is a pleasant dog friendly beach.

The caravan we rented was very clean, modern, and all the necessites of a home included in it. We went into caravan and could only said ' wow '. Sea view from caravan although it is still quite far down the hill.
Caravan site is very clean and peaceful, the only thing, you can hear is the sheep and birds.
Staffs are very helpful and friendly.

Only one downside is about 15 minutes walk to sea & 15 minutes drive to Petewen beach.
The another beach ( i forgot the name , on west of caravan site ) is about 2 miles - very beautiful white-sand beach though.
Internet is a bit expensive and not free.

I have a job that needs for me to have an eye for detail. Unfortunately this isn't left in the surgery. I take this obsessional eye for detail everywhere. If the service is poor, if the toilets are not well maintained, if the grass is not cut, If the pool has sediment at the bottom. Quite frankly I was astonished this holiday park never failed to impress me. The staff are polite and helpful. The site has been restored beautifully. The spaces between the caravans are more than adequate. I really hope possible campers will read my review and find out for themselves the level to which the staff go to ensure your stay is a superb experience.

Room Tip: Camping. But the toilets and other indoor areas were excellent
