A really nice hotel with very courteous staff. The design of the hotel is unusual but interesting and so the rooms have a nice view with balcony. First time having the bath in the bedroom, although the toilet is in its own room. It works well and there is lots of space. The food in the restaurant was really good and the wine a reasonable price. Breakfast was nice too and pleasing to have a choice of other items from the kitchen, not just the normal full cooked. The spa pool is excellent. We went in the winter so the outer windows were closed, but in the summer it must be even better looking out from the infinity pool into the garden. Overall a really pleasant experience and pleased for the three nights spent there.

Room Tip: Avoid the end room on the first floor which is the exit to the spa.

We have just returned from a lodge stay which was lovely although not five star as advertised! The grounds are pleasant and the lodges are nice but a few things could be improved on. Firstly there were large blood stains on the spare duvet but thankfully we didn't need to use them. They advertise the weekend as a 'girlie weekend' which included DVDs, popcorn and wine. Presentation went slightly array as the red wine was in the fridge, the DVDs were donkeys old and the popcorn was a small bag of microwave popcorn.....this could be made to look a lot nicer with a bit of thought. The rooms were nice sizes but the tv was a real pain as the satellite signal was horrendous. The hotel area was pleasant but there was not many chairs. Howevere the drinks were really reasonably priced which was a bonus and nice to see. We ate in the Arbitorium for Sunday lunch....the room itself was cold in temperature which was a shame as there was an lovely empty fireplace.... The food was pleasant but I had to return mine as it was only just luke warm. The soup however was very tasty. It was a bit disapointing to see all the deserts cold and served with ice cream, as it was so cold, something hot and more wholesome would have been more welcoming. If they wanted to up the anti a tad, a tablecloth would have been nice as the tables were a tad battered.
We tried the spa and the lava shell massage was a pleasant surprise. The pool was pleasant as was the sauna but the steam room was useless.
All in all a pleasant relaxing break but not five star or even close.... Nice to see drinks nicely priced though.

Room Tip: The lodges were nice

my partner and I had an evening meal here last night and we had a fantastic evening.the staff were so friendly and the service was so professional. our waitress Emily was friendly and the service she gave was impeccable. The food was outstanding and we both tried foods that we have never had before. I will definitely be telling our friends that they should go to the cornwall hotel and spa for a fantastic meal

We stayed for a weekend and got a great deal including an evening meal. Lovely room with large balcony. Hotel is decorated to a very high standard and the staff are lovely - friendly and attentive. Ate in both restaurants - food was amazing and large portions - two courses is plenty! Wine is reasonably priced.

Swimming pool is lovely, and we also booked for a massage which was great. Didn't use the gym but machines looked modern and well maintained.

The bar doesn't serve any nuts or crisps - that is the only tiny critacism. Will definately stay again.

This is our second visit to this property and I'm pleased to say we look forward to returning in the near future.
Every staff member we met greeted us in a warm and friendly manner. Greg in the Restaurant was an asset to the Food & Beverage team, effortless, professional service with a great sense of humour. The food was delightful, compliements to the chef.
Our room, The Clemintina, was fabulous and the bed is so comfortable you may need an alarm clock so you don't miss the whole day!
