We have been several times to Austell's and always thoroughly enjoyed it. This time we again enjoyed intensely flavoured food, presented in the most attractive and creative of ways chosen from a really interesting and varied menu. Nor is it expensive for food of this quality. Service is always delightful and attentive with a real focus on detail. Changes to décor and white linen have really worked. Accommodating and friendly the owners put themselves out to give a positive and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!!

We visited this unassuming restaurant after being recommended by our B&B hosts when we couldn't find a quality restaurant in the area. This is presented in a parade of shops and on first glance is nothing special. How wrong we were!
We were greeted by attentive, knowledgeable staff and seated in the simple but stylishly decorated restaurant right opposite the open kitchen where we could watch Brett Cambourne- Paynter perform his magic. Magic it is too, a 10 course taster menu that was explained and prepared with love and exuberance. The banter between he and Emma was fun and relaxing.
Never have we had such a fantastic evening and it was a very special honeymoon memory that we will never forget. The food was simply stunning, very affordable and the wine list extensive but the experience was something else.

An unusual restaurant in an unusual location - a parade of shops! But don't be put of this is a seriously great restaurant - the food was very imaginative, presented beautifully and quite different courses ordered by four people arrived simultaneously! Service was impeccable and when there was some delay in our main course arriving there was a bottle of wine on the house in apology! In all, I cannot fault Austell's and if I'm in the area I'll certainly go again.
