What an absolute delight! And that’s from someone with a lactose, wheat and sugar intolerance so I’m no easy customer. From the moment the staff took my reservation they were willing to help and adapted the menu to suit my needs. Brett, the chef (and part-owner) happily chatted to us between courses, checking that the food was ok and giving us tips on how to recreate the dishes back home. The portions were generous and the quality of the food was absolutely out of this world. I’ve never known leeks and mushrooms to have so much flavour!! We’re looking for another excuse to make the 5 hour drive to Cornwall just so that we can go back to Austell’s. Food aside, the attentiveness of the staff was second to none and Emma really made sure that all of our needs were taken care of. We’ve eaten in other establishments in the St Austell’s area but this is the one place that we’d recommend that you go to for a fabulous dining experience.
