“Not table table more like terrible terrible!”
Reviewed March 21, 2014 via mobile

Booked a table at 7.30 for 21/3/14 turned up and it wasn't booked! Ordered my food to come out with the starters and it wasn't there nor with the mains it was forgotten. Food for the rest of the table was cold and we waited 50 minutes for starters which was ridiculous. Asked to speak to the manager and he was busy so we went to find him, he didn't really seem bothered and uninterested. His answer to this was it's been busy tonight and were not usually this busy. Worst experience in a restaurant ever, absolutely dreadful. All down to communication, organisation and customer service skills which this place has none of! Will not be returning!

“Great staff”
Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

Nice meal, not too long wait. Great welcome by Steve, then handed over to Liam who is a polite witty young man who gave us great service. First time ever to leave a tip but he deserved it. Food always good value here, only problem I find is that when it is busy you can wait quite a while for your meal.

“ok if you have a voucher”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

The views over St Austell Bay are stunning on a nice day, this restaurant should be good but it doesn't live up to the view. The meals aren't too bad ( if you have one of the many vouchers they give out for Table Table ) The staff try hard to please, the décor and atmosphere are good and they have a Costa Coffee outlet.

“Good service”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

We go as a family about once a month . The food is good pub food and the place has a very comfortable interior. It's position overlooks the bay and on a summers evening it is very nice to sit outside. It is cosy by the fire on cold nights as well. We always enjoy our visits for a meal and evening out.
The pub has improved over the last couple of years, the service was poor but is very good now. Watch for special offers on the food.

“Lovely setting,poor food.”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

Meeting up with friends for lunch I found the setting for this restaurant ideal and indeed when inside thought the layout was comfortable and with each table having a degree of privacy. We all had something different but each one of us thought our meals fell short of average. Comments ranged from limp salad to hard and dry chips. The baked potatoes were also undercooked. Time for someone to appraise the Kitchen!!! Yes it is fairly cheap in price but I would rather pay a little more for a better standard of basic cooking. Won't be going back which is a shame given the lovely location and good car parking.
