Right from the moment you walk in, you feel like part of the family. A very well run, clean and well equipped B&B. Quite literally a home from home. The owners, Andy, Jane and their daughter Alicia are very welcoming and helpful. The setting is very peaceful and has some stunning views of the surrounding countryside. I was particularly impressed with their attention to facilities for elderly and disabled patrons, they really do go the extra mile. Breakfasts are not to be missed, everything home produced, right down to the delicious sausages. Also highly impressed with their attitude towards the environment, they produce their own electricity from solar panels and also have some very energy efficient heating systems, they don't come much greener! Good free wi-fi too.

Overall, can't recommend enough, stop reading reviews and book it.

Room Tip: Top corner bedroom is nice, has a four poster bed

I have just returned home for a 3 day business trip and stayed with Jane and Andy. The accommodation is lovely, a beautiful old farmhouse with a lovely atmosphere. The twin bedded room was light and airey with a great ensuite shower, TV and tea/coffee making facilities although Jane was always happy to make you tea and coffee to take to the room if you wanted it.
If you like sausages then the breakfast is to die for - 40 different varieties some of which are their own and really yummy home made yoghurt. It felt like home from home, their lovely friendly dogs, just made it for me and Andy and Jane couldn't do enough for you and to cap it all I was packed off with homemade scones because I didn't have time for the cream tea when I was there.

This is a lovely B&B, so incredibly peaceful and well run. You find it at the end of a farm track, so it is very much a rural option, but only a ten-minute drive into Fowey if you fancy restaurants and pubs. We stayed in the downstairs four-poster room with a sweet single bedroom attached for our daughter and a spacious bathroom. Everything is immaculately clean, fresh, pretty and light. The breakfasts are fantastic, you can choose your own fry-up with local sausages (many varieties for the adventurous - chilli and honey anybody?), but there is also homemade yoghurt, fruit, cereals and croissant/pain au chocolat. Or do as I did and have scrambled egg with smoked salmon - the eggs are laid by their own hens and very good (there is always a bowl of fresh eggs in the hall if visitors want to buy any). The owners are hugely accommodating and will always do their best to produce what you want and help you with any info. The breakfast room is big and light and looks out over the front of the house where the bird tables are. I saw goldfinches while I was eating my breakfast. I have stayed here a few times and found the owners Jane and Andy unfailingly kind and helpful. They even put our clothes through the wash after we were caught out by some bad weather. The peace of the place and its prettiness does feel like a great indulgence and a luxury, and yet this is one of the more affordable B&Bs in this area. I have had some terrible nights' sleep in expensive rooms over thumping pubs in Fowey and Lostwithiel. At Great Pelean Farm you are only a short drive from the pretty towns, the coast and the river but you always have this civilised retreat to return to and get a really wonderful night's sleep in a luxy comfy bed and a fab breakfast. Very much recommended.

Room Tip: If you are travelling with kids or a companion you can book the downstairs room and use the single r...

A stay at great pelean farm is highly recommended. Myself and 9 year old daughter stayed during August and despite the great British summer found lots to do in the area. Jane and Andy, and of course their 3 gorgeous (friendly) dogs, made our stay very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. My daughter, who craves a dog of her own, was even allowed to take the dogs for a walk on our last morning...she collected eggs from the chickens, loved exploring their gardens, trying to stroke the fast moving rabbits and we both felt relaxed.
The breakfast is a great start to the day. Freshly made with a wide choice of teas, cooked delights, homemade yogurt, croissants or whatever Jane can offer. Andys homemade scones were a welcome treat on our arrival with lashings of clotted cream and jam....hopefully we will be back

We have just returned home from staying at this b & b for seven nights. It is located perfectly for those who enjoy a peaceful, rural setting and wishing to visit the beach, Eden project, Heligan Gardens etc, all of which are only a few miles away. We booked the family accommodation which comprised of two bedrooms and a bathroom. It was spotless, spacious and the beds were very comfortable.
The hosts, Andy and Jane were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Our two children (boys, aged 10 and 7) loved being here and played endlessly with the three dogs, Mabel, Ethel and Candy who were all lovely.
The breakfasts and cream teas were divine. The choice of sausages was vast and all breakfasts were cooked expertly - kept us going all day.
Would definately recommend this b and b, a true gem and we hope to return to stay.
Absolutely fab holiday!!!

We chose Pelean farm after a check on accomodations in Trip advisor, we were glad that we picked this B&B for our Cornwall stay. Jane and Andy met us when we arrived from heathrow after our flight from Indianapolis. First thing was a nice cup of tea which was much appreciated after the long drive. The farmhouse is very comfortable and the breakfast is truly amazing, I think there were about 14 different choices of sausages plus fresh breads and various jams and honey. I particularly recommend the honey. The "full English" breakfast will set you up for the day, eggs, sausage, fried tomatoes, beans, bacon, suggest that a calorie count would not be at the top of the guests list. My thought was I am on vacation, forget calories. That said there are plenty of cereals available for the health conscious. The bedroom had a 4 poster bed and a second inlaw or a kids room. The bed was very comfortable. The family dogs round out the Pelean experience, all are friendly and, in our case, added to the enjoyment of our visit.
Jane and Andy are happy to give all kinds of local information and suggestions for day trips. We travelled the area for 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful Cornwall countryside, even though for most of our visit it rained.
We hiked on Bodwin Moor, rode a steam train, drove to Lands End and Falmouth and had several enjoyable hrs at the Crown pub. By the way, the Crown serves great food as well as good beer and is not that far away.
A word to the wise, large cars and small Cornwall roads don't necessarily mix. We had a VW Wagon, just the right size.
We hope to return to Cornwall in the future, Pelean Farm will be our choice as far as accomodation. Thanks for a great stay to Jane and Andy.

This place is just what you're looking for if you wish to spend a nice holiday in Cornwall ! This was my second stay at the Great Pelean farm, and I'm sure it's not the last ! The rooms are very comfortable, you will be welcomed in the best manner, and get very good advice. The breakfast is also delicious, with a variety of food that you can choose from. From there you can visit many parts of Cornwall without travelling too long, and you can also reach Devon. So the accomodation is very good and the hosts are extremely nice and helpful, and the place deserves to be qualified of great !
