This guesthouse provided really useful extras, access to a fridge, tissues, proper ground coffee. There was choice for breakfast which was generous. Service was quick and friendly but never intrusive. Lyn and Richard took pains to make sure we were enjoying our visit.
Location not a problem if you have a car.

If all B&Bs were like this one hotels would become redundant. The exceptional quality of the hospitality at Cooperage surely distinguishes it from most others. All creature comforts were provided, even to the surprise discovery of an iron and ironing board tucked away in the wardrobe! Besides the general excellence of the room, the breakfasts were thoughtful and wholesome. Ubstinting generosity and enjoyment of providing hospitality is theoverall impression we are left with

It's been said before by other visitors so all we can say is that this B&B is fantastic. I personally don't like B&Bs but this one we will be returning to and have recommended it to anyone who will listen. The room was clean and spacious with a lovely en suite. The extras in the room were more than i've come to expect from 4* hotels and Lynn the host was incredibly welcoming while at the same time not making you feel like you're staying in someone's house. A perfect balance. They even seem to have managed to persuade their dog to offer an equally welcoming yet reserved welcome! We could enthuse on and on about this B&B but instead i'm just going to say that we had a fabulous time in Cornwall and a lot of that was due to having such a fantastic base!

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Cooperage. Lynn , the hostess is very welcoming and the homely touches she provided, ensured a very enjoyable visit. We are planning to return to the Cooperage in October 2010 with other members of our family.
We would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone visiting this area.

Cooperage is an excellent B & B for the St Austell area. The rooms are beautifully presented, comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast to set one up for the day. Lyn welcomes her guests and I was made to feel at home immediately. I would recommend this establishment to anyone travelling in this area of Cornwall.

We picked blindly, more on location to where we needed to go and I went with the mindset that you get what you pay for. This was the cheapest B&B that I could find when I needed, but i'm absolutely amazed that it is such good value. The owners are first rate, nothing is any trouble at all, you can see they have put their heart and soul into their business, everything is spotless and the rooms are really comfy - I had the room at the front of the building which was gorgeous. I couldn't fault any aspect of the owners or their service. The driveway is steep and a bit of a squeeze, but that is immediatly outweighed by everything else. I didn't check if there was a local bus stop nearby because the centre of St Austell is not a 5 minute walk. It is however a good base that is good value for money and memorable. My parents (whom have written a review here) loved it - so I guess we will be going back sometime.
