“Looks better in the old photos”

Bit like camping but for quadruple the price, to hear the owner watching TV, walking and talking above your heads where he lives, or the other apartments breathing - through the blocked up separating bedroom door- or as you use the 1970's kitchenette that has little storage space in it. Both hot water ran out and heating (landlord controls both) were rationed. Don't you know there's a war on? Owner apologetic, saying he's never had complaints before. This month.
Sadly neglected once splendid garden and its rickety abandoned furniture and lights date back to the Ark, as does the low grade beds and decor. If you like to views from the garden, get a tent and sleep on the coastal path.

We always welcome people offering suggestions, we strive to be as best we can but there is always room for improvement, but to suggest it is akin to camping is frankly ridiculous and hence I have decided to reply.

They did have issues with ‘Sea Edge’ apartment however they were well aware that I am upstairs and there will be a small amount of background noise (only up to 10.30 by the way) -this is a 1670‘s property and we have decided to retain the historic beams rather than covering them up hence it is not as sound proof as modern buildings. We have had no complaints of this nature for years (not months as they rudely say). However I said that if they were not completely happy with the apartment that they could leave without cost, however they decided to stay, so surely that infers that the apartment was not that bad!

When any issues were raised (by email rather than personally) they were immediately rectified by myself and I even received an email saying ‘thank you for that’ (copy on request), does that reflect a ‘Service’ of 1?

I would point out I had reduced the apartment rental and absorbed the ‘Holiday Lettings’ booking costs to help them out.

They should get their facts straight. There is NO linked bedroom door to the other apartment so you cannot hear them. The water heating was on all day and the central heating can be controlled by the guests as there is a boost override which they can turn it on when they want.

They could see the kitchen etc on-line and on my brochure as photographs were taken by both Holiday Lettings themselves and by myself after this seasons refurbishment which included new leather sofas and beds. They left the apartment in a disgusting state with dog odour and pet hairs everywhere -they failed to mention bringing a pet when booking, which is not only common courtesy but a requirement, as not every place takes pets.

They broke a chair and bathroom fitting, without informing me, although I still retuned their damage deposit IN FULL.

We take our lettings very seriously and although this is a rare incident this has affected me considerably so therefore this ‘Sea Edge’ apartment will be phased out, which i’m sure they will be pleased to know and only available to our valued returning guests who are numerous and do appreciate the apartment and its location. They can rest easy that they have prevented future people suffering the ignominy of a cosy apartment in a superb relaxed location with unsurpassed views overlooking the sea!

All the people that have previously stayed during our last 10 years have been delightful and if anyone wants to see the considerable number of complimentary comments, including the one we received just the following week, please email me.

“We could not have found better place :-))”
Reviewed November 17, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Four ladies from Hungary

We spent an unforgettable week in St Agnes, toured the southern areas of Cornwall.
We were lucky with the weather, it was sunny and dry. And the icing on the cake-the Trevaunance Point Sea Egde appartment. Breathtaking views of the sea. The colours never were the same. Beautiful garden, cozy, peacefull, quiet house. We could not have found better place in search. Very good starting point for various attractions.
Now we have lifetime memories of this holiday.
We can heartily recommend to anyone.

Warm and friendly thanks to Paul for all his kindness.

For all of us,
the non saint Agnes

“Fantastic location - accommodation could be better.”
Reviewed August 22, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We chose the apartment on the strength of the location and this really could not be bettered. The apartment overlooks Trevaunance Cove and the views are fantastic. It is just a short walk down to the beach and pub and there are beautiful walks on the doorstep. Sea Edge and the adjoining apartment (Trebal) both have outside spaces including table and chairs and BBQs but it is worth noting that the two apartments are very close together and the outside areas are not that clearly defined so if you value your privacy this might not be ideal. (It would be perfect for two families holidaying together).
The interior of the apartment is a slight disappointment after the fabulous location. Whilst it was quite cosy and clean, it had a slightly uncared for feel about it and was not as well equipped as many self-catering accommodation we have used in the past (insufficient plates, broken cups, broken towel rail). Whilst our overall experience was positive, we just felt it was a slight shame as this could be an amazing property if a little bit of attention was given to the finer details.

We appreciate and welcome all guests comments and I always make a point of seeing them once they have settled in to make sure everything is to the guests satisfaction and specifically say that should there be any ongoing problems during their stay I am always on hand to rectify anything immediately. Unfortunately minor occurrences do sometimes occur and it is a shame that our guests could not have pointed this out to me at any time during their stay and any inconvenience would have been rectified immediately.
We welcome all guests feedback so we know and can act on these to continually improve our service.
I would also comment about the outside areas not being clearly defined. There are two gardens, separated by a fence and tall trees, and we point out, on arrival, that each apartment has its own separate garden so they can be private should they wish.
We pride ourselves on making each holiday as welcoming as possible which is why we have many returning guests throughout the year.
