Last May half-term we had to relent on our camping holiday in Sennen when our battered tent got ripped by gale force winds. We drove back towards London and found ourselves knocking at Dorothy's door in the early evening. We ended up extending our stay and sleeping there for three nights. The location is perfect to explore the local coast from. Penkerris is a place full of characher and charm, warmth and family history. Our 3 and 7 year old girls were warmly encouraged to explore and play in the house and in the garden. We shall make a point of staying over on our way to souther Cornwall when we go for our anual camping trip.

We had a wonderful stay at Penkerris. It is an interesting and unusual house, with clean and comfortable room and bed and very close to the town centre. The gardens are lovely. We were warmly welcomed by Martina and Paul and nothing was too much trouble, we felt cherished. The breakfasts are excellent, with plenty of choice of cereals and fruit as well as the full English. We will certainly choose to stay here again.

We have stayed at Penkerris for many years and always get a warm welcome. The house is full of character, the staff friendly and helpfull. Lovely breakfasts and Dorothy the owner will even lend you boogie boards and toys for the children. You can play badminton on the lawn. The surrounding area is stunning with lovely dog friendly beaches near by. Will hopefully be visiting again this year.
