After staying in Heron cottage 2 years ago, we returned to stay in Piran cottage as Heron was fully booked. Lambriggan Court, run by Fiona and Gary, is a true hidden gem in the heart of Cornwall and we love it. Beautifully converted barns with exquisite detail, it really feels like home. Our little boy loves going out with Fiona every morning to collect the eggs and she comes to call at the planned time and we see them walk off chatting away, returning 15 mins later with the day’s haul of eggs for breakfast.
Everything you could want in a holiday home is here as well as plenty of details you wouldn’t have thought about! We will be back next year
A stunning cottage with everything that you will need for a perfect holiday in Cornwall. We shall certainly be returning.
Our stay in Piran Cottage at Lambriggan Court was every bit as perfect as we had hoped. The photographs of the cottages and the beautiful grounds and gardens do not do justice to how beautiful the accommodation and environment are in reality. Perfectly placed in an idyllic semi rural part of Penhallow in St Agnes yet conveniently situated for easy access to roads to explore the local area and the whole of Cornwall. Trevaunance Cove is picturesque with an abundance of places to eat and drink. Highly recommend Fitty Pysk for dinner, Driftwood Spars for a pint and lunch and Q Tea Rooms for a fantastic cream tea. An extremely warm welcome from great hosts Fiona and Gary on arrival which set the mark for a fantastic two week stay with them. Nothing was too much trouble, they were always on hand to offer tips on what to do and where to go. So pleased we found this little gem and we will use it as a go to place every time we stay in Cornwall, which hopefully will be very soon. P.S. Thanks to the ducks and chickens for the fresh free eggs every morning.
We found this in Trip Advisor as wanted a beautiful Cornish cottage for our four nights away and this hit the mark in every possible way. Easy to find with the directions on the website, which was very helpful as SatNavs struggle to locate the farm. The cottage itself was one bedroomed with plenty of storage space. The bathroom had both a shower and a roll topped bath – which we made good use of. The kitchen was better equipped than ours at home and they have a selection of DVDs (and player) which was a nice touch. As a working farm there are both fresh eggs and apples outside the main house which can be taken for free each day. We thought it was very reasonable at £80/night in mid-September. It’s not really in St Agnes as it’s a little way out but it’s an easy enough to drive there or to Truro.
We were told about this hidden gem by friends, we were not disappointed as our stay was absolutely amazing. The cottage was beautiful, the grounds stunning, the host and hostess couldn't do enough for us, and always a bonus the weather was great. There were so many places to visit within easy reach by car or laze about in the gardens, I would strongly recommend a stay in any of the cottages.
My husband, baby daughter and I spent a week in Piran Cottage and had a wonderful time. It has been decorated and furnished to a really high standard; Fiona, you should update the photos on here because they don't do it justice!
My husband had a snoop around one of the other cottages (Lemon I think) which was a similar standard, and he commented that it was lovely how unique all the properties are.
It would be the perfect location for a group as all the cottages face a courtyard and share a lovely sunny garden which would be ideal for BBQs. There's also an adorable little sheltered area which looks out onto one of the lakes and is filled with the sound of trickling water. We hung out in the middle of a storm and it was very cosy.
Fresh eggs were made available every morning from the VERY well looked after hens and ducks. I have never seen such luxurious poultry accommodation!
The location definitely requires a car (as mentioned in the description) as there are no shops within walking distance. Healy's Cyder Farm is a 20 minute walk and definitely worth a visit, but that's about it. You'll want to go to restock the fridge once you taste the delicious cyder kindly provided in the welcome pack.
We had a truly special holiday and will 100% be returning next year. Thank you so much!
