what the taphouse does it does well. Good simple food and great seafood platters. Steak was well seasoned and cooked exactly how i like it, rare, very rare. well kept beer and good service, fully suggest this place.

“What a night.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2012

Absolutely amazing gem of a bar in this small Cornish village. The friendly staff ,incredible food and a really buzzing atmosphere made a visit there, our night to remember from our week in St.agnes. Seem's to be busy on most nights so it's worthwhile booking ahead.

“Great little restaurant/bar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2012

We ate here twice during our 7 night stay in St Agnes in June 2012.

A lovely little place which came recommended by the owner of the cottage.

Not a huge menu, and probably not what you would call fine dining, but more the sort of place that serves good British food.

It gets very busy here in summer, as the bar area/dining area melt in to one, and unless you book or get here early, you'll likely be disappointed when they turn you away.

Great little bar as well with good wine/beer selection - anywhere that has Erdinger on draft gets my vote!

We would gladly recommend this place to anyone.

“A great little place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

Typical pub food - but delicious - in a great atmosphere, both inside and out! Very friendly staff, great service, and cold, cold beer! Would definitely go back!
Was there in July of 2011.

“Welcoming and friendly but not quite there with the food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2012

Popped in for a bite to eat on a Monday. Smallish but well presented place. Service was very good from the two waitresses. I had the Venison steak special which i found a bit tough and fatty. My wife had the venison tortellini which she enjoyed. So i guess that it was just an unlucky choice. Dogs are also allowed in.
