“Home from Home”
Reviewed January 1, 2016 for a stay in September 2015

This is a lovely place to stay and has everything you need for a relaxing home from home holiday. It is really comfortable with a relaxing living room area equipped with a decent TV and DVD player, ideal for bringing the collection of DVDs we all gather and never watch! The bedrooms are great and all have bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need - no excuse not to go here and enjoy!
Rock itself is lovely. We loved the fresh fish shop - many a meal cooked at Little Thrift from this shop! The deli and Spar are just around the corner with a really good bakery a little further. We also ate at the bars in Rock - all really good, be sure to sample the local Sharp brewery beers - Doom bar is ace! You can visit the brewery and stock up for your stay as well.
Rock beach is fantastic and the best thing about Little Thrift is you can bring your dog. Our dog absolutely loved Rock beach, we went every day. It takes about 15minutes to walk down into rock from Little Thrift - great exercise before the beach! The beach is great, full of dog walkers and friendly folk. We also ate at the local café - Blue Tomato - lovely.
If you go be sure to take the ferry across to Padstow, another little gem on our trip. Many a day was spent walking down into Rock, time on Rock beach then across to Padstow to sample the joys of pasties, Rick Stein chips and local beer!
We will be going back, paradise is in Rock, Cornwall!

“Perfect home from home!”
Reviewed September 7, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Just had to give Little Thrift 5 stars and re-iterate that everything others have already said is spot on.

It feels like you've stepped into someone's home and not at all like a normal holiday rental.

Literally everything has been thought of (from a DVD collection and board games to beach mats, and dishwasher tablets) so my advice would be pack light because you'll probably find it's there already!)

Wish all holiday rentals were this good!!

“Lovely bungalow in fab location”
Reviewed July 28, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Our stay at Little Thrift was first class in every way. Gorgeous bungalow and garden and Rock is the best place in Cornwall. Has everything our family needed for a fantastic holiday.
We'll be back for sure. Portia made us feel so welcome and went "above and beyond" to make sure we were well cared for. Thank you.

“Fantastic accommodation in Rock”
Reviewed April 7, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Stayed at Little Thrift just before Easter and was first class accommodation in a great location for Rock, Padstow and Polzeath.
The Owner has paid lots of attention to detail inside the property (worth seeing the large oyster painting) and feels very modern.
It is very user friendly for older travellers as there is parking for two cars and easy access to property.
Will look to return soon and explore the rest of the area, as many great walks nearby along with lots of water sports activities.

“An excellent week in a lovely bungalow.”
Reviewed September 14, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

A wonderful week at Little Thift, the weather and accommodation combined for the perfect holiday.
There is everything that you need at this lovely bungalow. The kitchen is very well equipped and lovely to work in. There is a lot of light comfortable space in this holiday spot......every thing was very well thought out and enjoyable. Our little grand daughter loved the wide open spaces to crawl in.....it was paradise for her. Lovely back garden, lots of space , lovely to have morning coffee there.
The shops being just around the corner is very handy, and you can buy all your food requirements , butcher, baker and small supermarket plus a fish and chip shop.
Padstow is a ferry ride away and there are so many places round and about to visit.
We had a really restful splendid holiday at Little Thrift...... I hope we will return.
Small...very small criticism, there is a stain on the carpet in the lovely smaller sitting room, just in the door way. It's a shame......it just spoils what would otherwise be a perfect room.

“Excellent all round !”
Reviewed June 12, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We have just completed our first week of two here at little thrift so I thought I would write a review before getting home and not having time!
Firstly, Portia is superb to deal with, great communication but she does not continue to contact you throughout the holiday unless there is something specific you need.....there's nothing worse than being bugged by property owners when you are trying to relax on holiday! Secondly the welcome pack was great, with even a nice new dish cloth and sponge- I know it's only a little thing but not many people do this- I always take my own as have previously always been presented with a smelly old one!
The property is very well equipped, with great comfy beds (another first for me!) and superb kitchen/cooking equipment. It is in a lovely quiet close, and within walking distance from everything you need. The garden is well secure for our dogs and 11 month old to play in.
So far we have really enjoyed our stay here, it has a lovely warm feel and we immediately felt welcome and at home. I would definitely recommend little thrift and sincerely hope we will be back next year!

“Delightful cottage in a great location.”

The cottage was a great size for the five us. Clean and beautifully presented. Garden very private and enclosed for our dog. Beds very comfortable and just a short walk to the shops, deli, butchers and bakery. Pleasant 20minute walk down to Rock ferry over to Padstow. Enjoyed coffee and cake at The Blue Tomato cafe and a fabulous meal at No 1 Rock Road. The owner was very kind and made the booking process easy with some lovely personal touches. All in all a fabulous short break and we would definitely stay again.
