“This restaurant is well worth a visit!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

We hadn't booked a table and just turned up around 8:30pm in the hope of getting a table. Although they were very busy they happily found us a table and so our first visit to this restaurant began.

We chose to share a Calamari starter, which I must admit was the best Calamari I've had in years and we both chose the Sea Bass special which again was a fabulous dish and these two courses were accompanied by a bottle of 2010 Camel Valley Bacchus, which was well chilled and a great match with the food we had.

The service through out the evening was excellent and very friendly.

I wish I lived nearer, but as I don't I'll just have to ensure that next time I'm in the area I visit again and I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the area.

“If only for the view”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2013

We have been here a few times now and always had polite, friendly and efficient service. It may take a while but everything is cooked to order and is definitely worth the wait. The view from the balcony is superb and the whole place looks clean and lovely.

We had a lovely light supper here, sat on the terrace looking at the wonderful view, food was lovely and Trudie, Will and the staff were as attentive as ever. Lovely evening.

“Delightful lunch overlooking beach...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

We decided last minute to have a light lunch here after a lovely morning's walk along the coast of Rock before returning to Padstow on the ferry.. and we were NOT disappointed.
The terrace and eatery next door was full so even though this place is a little more pricey (just a few pounds) it was most definitely worth it. the view was excellent, slightly overcast but warm.
The wife had the Crispy Fried Calamari Salad and I had a small portion of thai broth locally picked Porthilly mussels. I have to admit the servings were larger than expected for both and was well worth the money. The food was delicious and the service was good also. felt they were a little understaffed as the terrace began to fill up with families and other couples.. but having snagged the best table we were more than happy to spend a couple of hours here.. worth a visit.

“Great value Sunday lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

Enjoyed a Sunday lunch here with a few friends, nice location opposite the ferry for Padstow. Fresh crab, roast beef and lemon tart all for about £18. Friendly and efficient service, there is a terrace should the British summer arrive!
