Hidden off the A30, between Redruth and Illogan, this conserved mining site shows the complexity of a Cornish Tin Mine within the wilderness that now surrounds such places throughout Cornwall.

Lots of information about the various mining buildings and the history of the site. Be aware that it is a bit hilly in places, but with a small car park nearby, it should be accessible to most. It is also close to the Portreath - Devoran Coast To Coast Trail.

I am so fortunate to live just a short walk from this scenic park. It is the most ideal place for walking dogs as there is not many dangers, such as cars, they can bump into. One minor issue is the riders which also take advantage of this gorgeous place having a collision but you can always see and hear them coming. Beautiful.

A great site to learn the history of Cornish mining, park in the little car park across the road, then just strole over, This is not a theme park, just a nice walk (great with a dog) with lots of saved mining buildings. There are small information boards around the site that give an interesting history of each of the buildings and what they were used for. A nicw walk for locals & a great little historic walk for visitors
