“Couldn't have been better”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

We stayed at The Cedars while visiting our daughter and couldn't have been more happy. David and Janet made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble - even offering to pick us up from our daughters to save us driving/walking late at night. The room was clean, warm, very comfortable and well decorated. The house itself was really interesting and characteristic and the conservatory was perfect for breakfast, overlooking a huge garden. Breakfast, by the way, was excellent too. Again, nothing too much trouble and generally a very relaxed and yummy start to the day. We would definitely stay again, in fact we can't wait for a return trip.

I stayed in this place while I attended a friend's wedding this summer. It was the lovelies, warmest and welcoming B&B I've ever stayed - by far! I can highly recommend it, the breakfast was great, David and Janet incredibly kind and helpful and the rooms make you feel at home (at least mine did :-). Just go there - you won't regret it! And by the way: the price is really really good as well.

We arrived on rainy day and were warmly received by David and Janet. The parking was close to the reception and we were shown around the essential areas. Our room was warm and comfortable, and overlooked a wide countryside, very pleasant. Advice on local dining lead us to the local pub, The Star, where we enjoyed a freshly cooked meal. We slept well in the very comfortable bed. Breakfast in the conservatory allowed us a wide choice, and any mix and match was readily served. A most enjoyable overnight stay. It is certainly "on the list" for Cornwall.

Staying in the well-appointed family room was a move we did not regret. It was spacious beyond our dreams and the beds were extremely comfortable. The beds provided for the children were not camp beds, but real single beds; always a bonus when travelling as a family. There was storage beyond our needs and as Janet informed us on our arrival “we like to think of everything.” This is so true. From a hairdryer, to books and DVDs, all our needs were catered for. The family room boasts a soft carpet, beautiful bedding, a comfortable window seat and well-appointed tea making facilities.

The Cedars itself is a beautiful home, which has obviously been treated with love and affection over the years. The atmosphere is relaxing and tranquil; enhanced by the charming outdoor water features and carefully placed ornaments and lights.

Breakfast was beautifully cooked and well presented; enjoyed in the charming conservatory, overlooking the spacious garden. Living up to our expectations and exceeding them too, we would most certainly stay at The Cedars again and hope to do so in the future.

Just came back from this B and B and feel very content. The only regret being that we were not able to stay there for longer. They were a friendly couple and went out of there way to accommodate us. I would definitely go there again.

What a fantastic place. The warm welcome. I stayed in room 3 the room is a luxury to stay in, Spotlessly clean the bedding and towels are of a excellent quality. The bed was so comfortable. I also liked the fact that you were also given the option of having fresh milk for your teas and coffee in the room. The breakfast room is situated at the back of the property overlooking the garden. The breakfast itself was freshly cooked and locally sourced eggs were from owners own chickens. I will definitely stay again.
