“Bad weather spoilt holiday?”

As stated rain most every day made our holiday almost a wash-out. so no beach reviews sorry to say. Anyway I will give arundown on where we went too.
Redruth--not a bad place but very hilly, be aware if you have breathing problem. 3/5
Truro-- A really nice place to visit, good shopping&eating. a must visit is the Cathedral, free entry. 5/5
Porthcurno--great beach, filmed from hilltop and looked really nice, one of our sunshine moments. 4/5
Lands End-- went there but never entered due to excessive parking charge & having to pay £10.00 to have picture taken beside mileage cross? 0/5
Eden Project--unless you are into this sort of day-out give it a miss? very pricey, queues as bad as airports, and another hilly walk down to domes and back again.this score is my personal valuation and should not influence anybody. 2/5
Flambards-- a good family day out-but take a lot of money with you? 4/5
So that is all I can say about our holiday, not very interesting I know, but with better weather who knows...our only real complaint [as of many other holiday makers] is that Cornwall seems to be pricing themselves out of business?

Unfortunately, we cannot promise you good weather when you book but thankfully you found out that there is still lots to do in Cornwall even when it rains. We do hope that you will return and if it does rain there are many websites that give useful information on places to go to.
One plus for Cornwall compared with many other prime holiday locations in the UK is that it gets a lot of very good weather making it popular and attractive to holidaymakers.
Try coming down for a stay with us in May or June. This is lovely time of year. Usually with very good weather and everything is fresh and new ready for the peak season in Mid-July and August.
Regarding Cornwall pricing itself out of business. Almost all the businesses that cater for tourists rely on the peak season of around 10 weeks of the year to be able to survive the rest of the year, when only a few of the intrepid Cornwall loving people come down and stay, whatever the weather. These businesses make enough profit to carry them through the rest of the year when their overheads exceed their takings. As a result, many people living in Cornwall have two or three jobs. Without the entrepreneurs prepared to take a risk and those employees prepared to accept two or three jobs, there would be nothing for you to do other than walk around aimlessly wishing someone would open.
