“Perfect cottage”

If you are looking for a cottage with two large bedrooms, two luxurious bathrooms and a spacious fully equipped kitchen, in a peaceful location, this is the one for you.

The owners provide a welcome pack that includes wine, bread, sausages, bacon, oil, tea bags, coffee and a homemade cake! And they leave you alone to enjoy your holiday - they live in the Manor House, so are there if needed.

Lots to see through the picture window, including a fox and gold finches.

Great location - walking distance into Mevagissey and close to Heligan and Eden Project by car. Also, can walk from the cottage onto the coastal path.

Perfect. Do not want to leave.

“Just lovely”
Reviewed September 20, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Nathan and Vicky are to be congratulated on creating a modern, stylish and spacious property with a "middle of nowhere" feel, only 20 minutes walk from Mevagissey. The welcome pack, including home made cake, was a very nice touch, so much so that we found ourselves seeking out some of the cheese, biscuits and marmalade to take home with us. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need and the living area has a large flat screen TV and modern comfortable furniture. When we started looking at Mevagissey properties we wanted five things. A sea view, somewhere that was within walking distance of the town and didn't look as if it had been furnished with someone else's cast offs, private parking and superfast broadband. It was almost perfect - just missing the sea view.

“Luxury in the Country”

My family has a lovely 4 days in this property. It is a beautifully maintained luxurious 2 floor house at the end of a block of houses in a converted long barn. The conversion has be well done and we very much enjoyed our stay. There is everything you need there and each of the two bedrooms has its own bathroom. There is quite a long narrow drive to the houses and the location is really wonderfully rural, with a field of cows next to them. The houses are really comfortable, and the provisions that were there when we arrived made breakfasts and deserts very easy for several days. The lemon drizzle cake was wonderful and the other foods came from a farm shop and were fresh and delicious. The wood burning fire was really efficient and there was a huge wood pile from which to obtain more wood. There was other heating too.

It is very close to the The Lost Gardens of Heligan which were lovely and it was a good place for touring that part of Cornwall once you realised that you did not have to negotiate the incredibly narrow streets of Mevagissey but could turn the other way through Port Mellon.

The host and hostess of the place were most helpful and introduced us to a company which delivered excellent dinners to us so you do not have to cook or go out for dinner.

“Absolutely beautiful barn conversion”
Reviewed May 6, 2015 for a stay in November 2014

I stayed for two weeks at The Picture Window in November and enjoyed every moment of it. The house is one of three conversions of the original old stone and slate barns in the grounds of an old country house. The bedrooms are downstairs and the kitchen-living room is upstairs but accessible at ground level from the rear. The Picture Window had everything I wanted and was light and warm. It was all in first-class order, the appliances worked easily and I didn't need a degree in astro-physics to operate the TV. The grounds are lovely and, with storm seas, Mevagissey and Port Mellon were dramatically exciting. I would challenge anyone not to love the place.

“Perfect in every way”
Reviewed November 3, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We really enjoyed our stay at the Picture Window, especially because we got engaged there! Everything about it is perfect. It's beautifully decorated, equipped with everything you could need and we were left a fantastic welcome pack of goodies, including delicious gluten free brownies (thank you Vicky and Nathan, this was really apreciated). The loctaion is absolutely stunning. It was nice being slightly out of town - so peaceful and relaxing - but it's only a short walk to the fun pubs for Mevagissey.

“Beautiful cottage in idyllic, secluded surroundings”
Reviewed July 3, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We stayed at the picture window with our young daughter for a week at the end of June. The cottage appealed to us because of the open plan living accommodation and the provision of stair gates!! Something no one else seems to provide! It was also really child friendly.
The cottage was well decorated, spacious, well equipped and is located very close to Mevagissey while remaining very secluded. A lovely welcome pack of Cornish goodies is included in the price as well as delicious homemade cakes!
Definitely recommended if you're after a relaxing break in a great location.
