stayed here for a week in March, me and my partner.
The park was easy to find and so was the chalet on site. The chalet was lovely and clean when we arrived. Everywhere was spotless. The chalet is very homey. It was easy to book the holiday and Christine was very kind and quick with replies.
Would DEFINITLY recommend and will be looking to stay again in the future.
The chalet was clean, basic & cosy base for our holiday in Cornwall. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need to prepare & cook a meal. The sofas in the lounge were clean and comfy. Bathroom was basic, shower was hot with reasonable water pressure. The bath took forever to fill !! The double bedroom was of an ample size for two people, bed was supportive and good storage space. The twin room was airy with wardrobe and chest of drawers. Ideal for two pre-teen boys. The heaters were great and quickly took out the chill from the spring nights.
The chalet had everything you could have wanted but the bedroom furniture was slightly tired but still in a good standard. WiFi would be very useful as the mobile phone signal was poor (EE network)
Owners have created a homely feel and the communication was fantastic from book all the way through to departure. Easy walking distance to the main complex, Car parking directly outside the door, stunning views of the hills, sea & beach. would definitely stay here again. *** Would advise guests to take an extension lead as not many plug sockets***
The Haven Park was a let down, poor service and LONG delays in the Papa Johns Pizza (2 hour wait on pizza on easter sunday), Fish & Chip shop (Gave up waiting and got refund) . Standard of food in the surf grill and fish restaurant was good, not overly expensive but long waits !!! 1 course dinner for 4 people took 1 hour 40 mins.
The prices of drinks in the main complex was outrageous !!! £5.90 for a glass of basic house wine, £1.85 for a small fruit shoot. The spar was over priced also but was well stocked up. The laundrette was average. Entertainment was fun for the children. Only the coffee lounge had WiFi !! The cost for the funpass for 1 adult & 3 children was £99. Overall good accommodation but sadly Haven was not up to the usual high standards.
