“Great Place, almost feels like Spain!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013

This place is amazing, a beach bar like those in Spain with one noticable difference - Later on in the day once the tide comes in it faces the sea with only sea defences to protect it!
Seriously though, every thing is a little pricey but for the view, the uniqueness and the atmosphere it is certainly worth it! It is open whatever the weather and hosts regular late night discos and parties.
It is also dog & child friendly and offers those wet and sandy the chance to dry off and clean themselves up.
The view is amazing though, it overlooks Chapel Rock and has the best view of the tide coming in.

“The view makes it”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2012

The placement of the watering hole is perfect. The beach, the sand, the wind. Its in a brilliant place and ideal to have a cold beer looking out across the beach at night. If this was in the middle of town it wouldnt get much custom. Yes it has big sports screens but the food and drink is massively expensive and the staff seem quite rude at times.

Dog friendly.

“Hiding from the rain”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2012

As the rain bucketed down on Perranporth beach we made our bedraggled way to the Watering Hole. I dived in to check whether it was okay to bring children and dog in and was quickly reassured that this would be fine. The floor is deliberately uncarpeted to allow for wet/sandy visitors so this was also reassuring. We stopped for dinner before catching the bus back to the campsite. The food was quite pricy but there was plenty of it and it was tasty. A bit disappointed not to see any real ales on the bar, but there was a choice of ciders.

“Fantastic pub situated in a beautiful spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2012

Good food (especially the nachos), good beer, great hospitality and very family friendly - all located right on beautiful perranporth beach. Offers a haven for beach goers rain or shine. We'll be back. Thanks!

“You certainly get treated better in the summer than in the winter!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2011

Having holidayed in Perranporth in June 2011 this was our local and so we were in there almost every day. We visited again in November 2011 looking forward to a weekend of the same! Unfortunately when we tried to get food we we told that the kitchen had closed - it was bang on 7:30. We then watched people some 10 minutes later go up to the food counter and order. We asked if the kitchen had stayed open and we were told 'No'. We watched another person go up and get served so we tried again pointing out that we could see that other people were still being served, this time to be told 'They have been here for ages'. They hadn't so we left the pub after one drink and didn't visit again for the the rest of the holiday. We felt very much that as holidaymakers we were certainly being treated differently to the regular customers. Before this incident I couldn't have praised this place enough but we all came away feeling very disappointed.
