My Wife and I visited the Tin mine and found the tour informative it is a good idea to be able to ask questions and get answers from someone who actually worked at the mine we learned a lot about how the mine worked and about the people who had worked there in the past we throughly enjoyed the tour and found the whole experiance value for money!

We had a coffee in the cafe and although the pasties looked and smelled amazing we resisted temptation!

Substantial pasty made with real meat along with the usual potatoes and swede, great pastry.
can be eaten in or taken away. Worth eating in just for the spectacular views over the sea. Proper job.

Despite living so near we had never actually visited the Heritage Centre before but were certainly not disappointed. The exhibits were extremely interesting and informative and the underground tour gave a good insight into the working of the mine, the Guide being very helpful and knowledgeable. The extensive equipment and machinery above ground was fascinating and 'The Dry' (the building where the Miners' shifts started and ended) was very atmospheric. The food in the Cafe was excellent and all staff on site were most helpful and friendly. Needless to say the views were stunning. Well worth a visit. Another bonus....if you can Gift Aid then you get a year's free admission!

We visited Thursday Jan 29th '14. and we were the second group of 12 to do underground tour etc. We had 'Eddie' (I believe) for the underground tour who is an ex miner and he bought it to life brilliantly, as did Peter who gave our above ground tour. All staff from reception to café were friendly and accommodating. Thank you.

As this has been the first sunny day for a while we decided to go somwhere we have thought about for years,Geevor Tin Mine at Pendeen.

Although way out of season it still attracted quite a number of visitors, potter around the various well layed out exhibitions, enjoy the rugged coast line and check out the small gift shop.

Free parking all day, easy access.pleasent way to spend a few hours.
