“Relaxed, delicious contemporary loveliness”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

Stayed here overnight in Sep 13, and had dinner in restaurant - try the duck in port and blackberry sauce - just perfect. The decor in the rooms is fresh and modern, very comfortable bed. Colour schemes are neutral with fabulous splashes of colour from paintings, ornate mirrors and swathes of curtains in restaurant. Breakfast was excellent - smoked salmon with scrambled egg is one of my fav things to eat and it was delicious, full english looked good on my husbands plate too! Lovey place, superb staff, will be back.

“Good Pub Fayre”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2013

Called with Mrs for an early (5pm) Monday evening meal but Waves par was closed. However the Waves menu was available in the pub. Good service from the young lady at the bar, efficient and food came promptly. Its was decent pub grub without being particularly special, Mrs had Scampi and I had Fish and Chips.

“Sunday carvery a hit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

Visited this pub in early August and was most disappointed as they seemed to be too busy with the peak holiday trade and standards slipped.Decided to give it another go on Sunday 15th and pleased to say the food was back to very good standard. We had the carvery and it was lovely.Very good beef and excellent freshly prepared vegetables. Some places allow you a mixture of meats, here they had a half of chicken or beef on offer. The place was full and we were lucky to find seats as we had not booked. There is plenty of seating outside but it was raining-would suggest booking in advance on a Sunday unless it was good enough to sit outside.Would avoid this place in peak season in future but would recommend it otherwise.Carvery was £9.95.

Wished we had eaten here sooner , really good value for money. Had a great piece of fish served with the most tasty seafood risotto.
