So glad we made the trip to Marsh villa gardens..we were the only one there.a garden entirely made and created by a wonderful lady on marsh land it has many different areas woodland, ferns, hot plants, a large pond , bamboos, enclosed areas ,roses plus a wild area
Mr and Mrs Stephens are a wonderful couple who are only to happy to share their stories about the garden and answer your questions. We also had a nice cream tea there.
What we liked about this garden is that it is a very personal garden
Highly recommend a visit

I can only reiterate the other reviews - a wonderful garden and lovely friendly people who manage it. Tea room facilities and toilets plus the opportunity to purchase some plants. A wonderful treat for the senses in many ways.

This is a garden that is understated BUT it's peace, beauty and content cannot be overstated!

In mid June the large 'stately' gardens of Cornwall are mostly heaving with visitors - and that is before the schools break up for summer! When we arrived at Marsh Villa there were just three cars parked in the early afternoon. There was no funnelling to a ticket booth - just a gentle sign guidance to where the 'honesty box' accepted our money. We just slowly began our discovery of the garden - and it drew us ever inwards until we found the marsh walk. We gently drafted around the marsh area, listened to birds, photographed butterflies and just enjoyed the natural peace - somehow the railway that was just visible through the trees added to the atmosphere. Once we had absorbed our 'fill' of the marsh area we began our detail discovery of the beautiful garden. We could sense the pleasure that the garden must give the owners when thinking through garden design, actively undertaking gardening tasks, and just basking in the beauty of the individual plants, their juxtapositioning, and the overall ambience.

We did pass three other visitors but otherwise it felt as if we were honoured invited guests. We didn't encounter owners or guides. We left feeling at peace and quietly astounded at the privilege of sampling such a lovely garden.

Visited this beautiful garden while on a steam train excursion to Par.
.
Unfortunately our visit was very short, too short to enjoy the lovely cakes on offer in the tea shop, at ridiculously low prices!.
I believe it was an open day in aid of a Cornish Hospice, but it does open right through the Summer.
Not a large garden but you could stay there for hours just enjoying the lovely natural planting and there are seats and benches to stop and just soak up the peace and the birdsong.
Were given a lovely welcome by the owners, who are a lively, quite elderly couple, who have created this beautiful place.
There are also plants to buy.
We will come here again when next in Cornwall and make sure we have time for a longer visit here.
Thank you and hope your fundraising is successful.
