Service is excellent, location splendid, food underwhelming. Our starter of scallops with black pudding, featured over cooked scallops, served with some pretty dull black pudding and chopped up bacon-. Main courses were whitebait salad and the special of mackerel and gurnard . The salad was reminiscent of a meal at a good chain restaurant, nothing special. The fish was well cooked but lacking any flavour. The whole experience was distinctly average. We cut our losses after the mains and declined the offer of dessert.

We ate here seven years ago and really loved the place. Returning now, with friends, we weren't impressed by the menu. No soup at all on it. Not as much seafood variety as we hoped for.... However, we enjoyed what we had, even though a little pricey. Lovely views from restaurant, and staff were attentive.

Visited with friends whilst on holiday. We didn't have to book, the service was excellent and well what can I say. The seafood was out of this world. My partner and I had the the Sea food platter to share. We were amazed, well worth £35 and a meal we will never forget.
Thank you we will be back

We booked a table here for a Saturday lunchtime and booking is essential. Four of us visited for a birthday celebration. We arrived and were welcomed and shown to our table. Sufficient time was given for us to select our choice of meal from quite an extensive menu, without us feeling rushed. This restaurant specialises in seafood, but that is not to the exclusion of other food. Pizzas, Chicken, Steaks and Pasta was available with an acceptable choice for vegetarians too.

Starters: We chose 3 x goats cheese crostini and 1 x 1/2 pint prawns.
Mains: 1 x Gurnard & Mackerel, 1 x Seafood pasta, 1 x Meatballs pasta, 1 x Mediterranean Haloumi
Desserts: 1 x Choc Brownie, 1 x Lemon meringue roulade, 1 x Beach sundae, 1 Waffle & ice Cream.

You can tell from the above that between us we sampled a wide range of the offerings. All courses were well proportioned, imaginatively presented, served well and delicious.
This restaurant is located in an old lifeboat house which looks directly out onto the beach and harbour and is an absolute delight to visit. We will certainly return for more.

The restaurant does get busy, and consequently it does get noisy and if I had to make any criticism it would be that it can get a little warm inside.
