Food excellent with a good variety of both fish and meat dishes. Service could have been a little better.

We visted Sams on the beach with four adults and four kids under the age of five incuding two one year olds. Our experience could not have been better - the food was great; you can choose from fresh fish to salads to excellent pizzas from their wood fired oven and there is a kids menu. The waiting staff were friendly and didn't seem to mind that the children did their best to destroy the place. The bill was also reasonable. Very good. We will go back.

We have waited two years to get to this place and we were not disappointed! I was first recommended this restaurant by a man on the Fowey mini bus, and I kept the card! Last year we visited for a quick coffee and vowed to come back.

Today we did and it was well worth the rate!

I had the 1/2 pint of prawns on the shell, and my husband had the Cornish sardines- both we're very tasty.
Next, I had the wood fired pizza and husband had the scallops with black pudding- gorgeous, cooked to perfection! Finally, we had the kirsch soaked cherry brownie and a lemon Eton mess.

Absolutely fantastic place - be sure to give it a try!

When you sit in the old lifeboat house and see the sun set while having a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere, great food, good ales and wines and pizza to die for, but so much else to choose from, if you love fish Sam's is well worth a visit

No doubt the food is nice, but hard chairs with no cushions supplied, and a school canteen atmosphere complete with school type glasses - is this meant to be 'rustic'! This is not cheap bar food, so for the money I would like a bit more comfort.
Parking was also a pain (hope you don't meet any traffic coming up the hill) Pay parking in a rotten car park then a trek down to the beach
