We stopped here to use the wifi and grab a coffee after an hour pottering about the rockpools. Wow ... it was the best coffee I've tasted outside of London!
The food looked good too - I'll try it next time!

We visited the Lizard on a beautiful;sunny afternoon. We intended parking on the NT car park and walking down the slope/ steps to the beach. What a surprise we had.
We stopped a few times on the way down to admire the lovely scenery and as we arrived lower down there, to our surprise was Poldhu Beach Cafe.

Of course this called for a cuppa.
When we’d looked at the menu we decided to order sardine sandwiches and a Cream Tea. The sandwiches were delicious-largest sardines ever! The cream tea was not the usual dainty little scones and a small amount of clotted cream. No. It was 2 very large, fresh scones accompanied by plenty of strawberry jam and cream.
All this was in a beautiful setting at the very end of the Lizard.

It really is “a must”. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

Very friendly staff and good beach food and coffee. Our 8 year old dropped his ice cream on the sand (!) and the staff replaced it for free! Cakes amazing. The cafe / service, beach and surf school are a great combination and made us return.
