My husband and I travelled to the Honeycombe House for a wedding this past weekend. This was my first time in Cornwall, and my first experience staying in a B&B; it could not have been better! The hosts were incredibly lovely and made us feel completely at home. They provided us with delicious breakfasts with a multitude of options! The room was perfect (the only thing I would request is maybe a blackout blind or two as the sun woke us up early in the morning), and we enjoyed our gorgeous balcony view from the Albert room! I highly recommend this location!

This B&B is in a great location and Ian & Val could not have worked harder to make our stay any more enjoyable, they are terrific hosts. The views from both our rooms were picture postcard and the breakfasts were delicious and generous. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and the beds really comfortable. The bathrooms may be a little cramped but this was not really a problem. We would highly recommend this B&B.

I booked this B&B for one night, as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. We stayed in the Victoria room, which had stunning views of the harbour and beyond. Ian & Val included a box of chocolates and a card in the room, which was a lovely touch and he was even treated to a little birthday candle in his breakfast sausage! The room is spotless, very comfortable, and comes with a pair of binoculars so you can sit and admire the view. So happy with our enjoyable, if too short, stay. Couldn't recommend this lovely B&B more.

We can't praise this B&B enough and will definitely be returning next year. The location is just perfect, at the top of the hill, overlooking the double harbours in Mevagissey. Our double room was well equipped with everything we could possibly need plus a balcony where, had the weather been better (it rained constantly whilst we were there!), we could have sat outside, with a glass of wine, and made even more of the wonderful views. Val and Ian had left a book of local places of interest, as well as the history of Honeycombe House in our room, which we found extremely interesting and helpful. Breakfast is served in the Conservatory overlooking the harbour which was just idyllic.

Room Tip: One of the rooms overlooking the harbours would be my choice

We stayed here for one night in this beautiful guest house over looking Mevagissey Habour in Cornwall and Wow what a find!!!

Ian and Val made us feel very welcome and answered any questions we had about the area and dining out in the village.

We had a double room which was lovely, well equipped with toiletries and tea/coffee facilities also bottles of water. The shower room was a little cramped and if there is one suggestion I could make is that the room we stayed in was very overlooked by a lane so some voile or something up would be nice as we did have the curtains drawn which spoiled the view and natural sun light coming in. My hubby also felt the mattress needs replacing. But overall the rooms was lovely very clean and tidy.

There is a wide choice for breakfast and the Cornish breakfast is amazing, the views from the dining room are stunning over looking the Harbour.

I would definitely recommended a stay here if your visiting Cornwall we would come back, Parking for the guest house is up a a very steep path which leads to a residential area that you can park your car in, we had no problems finding a space just the walk to and from the car off putting due to the steep path.

This place was one of the best B and Bs we stayed in whilst walking the SW coast path.
We had a very good welcome and our room was delightful with a good view of the sea from the large side window. It was spotless with good quality bed linen and towels and very attractice china on the tea tray. A very thoughtful gesture was the binoculars and wine glasses provided.
The breakfast room was a conservatory with superb sea views on three sides. Breakfast was a delight with fresh and dried fruit, lots of different cereals and yogurts and local jams and honey. I chose scrambled egg and smoked salmon as one can get very tired of an English cooked breakfast when one is away for two weeks.I cannot understand why more B and B owners do not offer a choice.
One small point - our room was sideways on to a lane and we felt rather on-view - it would be quite useful to have some fine net curtains over this to give some privacy without obscuring the view. This is not a compplaint, merely a suggestion.

Thank you very much for your very positive comments about Honeycombe House, and we are both delighted that you enjoyed your brief stay with us.
We have taken your suggestion on board about the possibility of a net curtain or similar to give a little more privacy to that room, and we are looking at possible solutions and also conducting a straw poll with guests staying in that room over the next few weeks to seek their thoughts! Ian
