We have just returned from our second visit to this excellent hotel which we first visited last year.

Fantastic to discover that standards are still as high, same owners and staff in place and the same warm and friendly welcome.

Just like coming home. Marvellous.

we have just returned from a ten night stay at the Tremarne, this year we were in room 1 for a change, this room has an overall white décor which has a calm, soothing effect. I realise that this may seem a strange thing to mention in a review but even my husband conceded that I had a valid point and some may find that a room with such relaxing qualities beneficial.
the staff, Michael, Fitz, Norman, Sharon, Betty(aka Sarah) and Andy the chef, were as always friendly, attentive providing a professionalism rarely found whilst treating every day of our stay as if it was our first . The meals are first rate and the variety at breakfast sets you up for the rest of the day, whether its cereal and fresh fruit or a full English cooked breakfast, every choice is catered for.
with the weather being as nice the days excursions were normally completed with a late afternoon relaxing swim in the perfectly located pool.
The Tremarne could not prevent our holiday passing so quickly but if any hotel and staff group can achieve it, it'll be them.

This was a spur of the moment booking in the middle of June and turned out to be our best holiday ever! From the second we were welcomed by Norman and met Michael and Fitz, we knew we were in for a treat. They couldn't have provided a happier, more relaxed or fun environment and made all their 'guests' feel like one large happy family, without losing any professionalism. Quite an achievement! Apart from that, the rooms were spotless and meals were hot, freshly cooked and delicious. Thank you all for all you did to give us such a wonderful holiday. Lin and Ken

I stayed here at the beginning of June with my husband. We booked the garden break for three nights, which meant the tickets for the Eden project were included.
We were welcomed by name by Norman on arrival and given tea in the lounge. Our room was a good size and in common with the whole hotel was absolutely spotless; I have never been anywhere so clean! All the decor is fresh and clean. The hotel has its own bar area, run by Norman. At dinner all the guests were introduced to each other – in fact we met ‘mspatm’ who wrote a review called ‘A Magical Weekend’. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory enjoying the views after dinner.
The hotel is in a good location for sightseeing and we appreciated the arrival information which gives an alternative route to the hotel avoiding the narrow streets of Mevagissey, it is a longer way round but worth it. On our first morning we decided to try the long downhill narrow road into Mevagissey and ended up reversing all the way back up as a camper van was coming up the other way and there was no way round it.
Breakfast was lovely, and dinner was very good, large portions and well presented.
I had seen the review from John S on the 24th March after I had booked but decided on reading it that it was not true, and having now visited The Tremarne I can only conclude that the review by John S is totally malicious.
Fitz, Michael and Norman run an excellent hotel, the word ‘no’ is not in their vocabulary, they make every effort to make their guests’ stay at The Tremarne a happy one, it is more like staying with friends that being at a hotel. Fitz and Michael have a lot of experience in the hospitality industry and their professionalism shows. You will only leave with fond memories. If I were to go back to Mevagissey I would stay at The Tremarne again.

My partner booked us in tremaine hotel for our walking weekend in Cornwall. We arrived on a Friday evening after a long 6 hour drive and was greeted by Norman who checked us in room 18. The sea view was stunning the room was immaculately clean the bathroom spotless!
Since it being our first time in mevagissey. we decided to go out for dinner. The hotel is up the hill from the town centre. Be warned it can be a struggle walking back to the hotel if you have had a large meal.
All in all we had a fantastic walking weekend on the coastal path and loved tremaine hotel. The food was delicious ,the staff were great the hotel has got gorgeous views.
I would definitely recommend the hotel to any one going to mevagissey. My only criticism is the size of the bathroom towels. I found them a bit small I know if I had asked for a larger one that would have been sorted. Hope to visit the hotel again.

Stayed at the Tremarne Hotel as we were attending a wedding in Mevagissy and what a lovely hotel it is. The room we had was clean, with modern deccor and furnishings! Breakfast was also lovely with a varied choice. A big thank you must go to one of the owners who took pity on my friend and I when weere unable to get a taxi to take us to the wedding venue and drove us there himself! A lovely gesture which really wnt a long way!!
