Smashing Location, not too busy and within easy reach of both Newquay and Padstow. We have been to Cornwall over the Christmas / New Year period for the past 5 years unfortunately, this year due to the weather we spend somewhat more time indoors than we would have normally done, having said that, Sea Gem was warm, comfortable and with the fabulous view, it meant that having to "staying in" was in fact a pleasant experience.
Great holiday, would definitely like to return to Sea Gem.
We had a really nice time in this beautiful house. The name says it all, it's a Gem by the Sea !
Nicely decorated and very clean, it has everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
Great name for this tranquil spot nestled close to the beach in Mawgan Pourth.
The accommodation is modern and recently re-furbished with everything you need for home comforts.
Home to home.
A great idea to have the entertainment upstairs and the two rooms accessible below. TV in lounge and en-suite bedroom. Modern kitchen with all amenities.
Great view from the lounge balcony.
50 m to the beach and a dedicated parking close by.
Must be in high demand in summer ... book now !
A perfect spot for a quiet getaway in late November .
Despite cold weather we walked the beach and cliffs .
My son surfed nearby as the surf was a bit small in the bay.
You will need a car as this is a quiet village.
There is a local super market which caters for your needs.
A couple of restaurants and a pub.
Well done to Carol and Anthony for sharing your gem with us!

Just spent a great week at this very comfortable property which contains everything you need. The balcony upstairs (off the living room) gives a fantastic view of the beach. Location perfect for some of our old haunts - eg. Bedruthan Steps, Padstow, St Mawgan and Watergate Bay. Plenty of lovely walks along the coastal paths with stunning views.
Had a lovely stay nice comfortable accommodation with great views.if I had to grumble about anything it would be the bathroom it was a bit tired and smelly.
If you're not going to be lucky with the weather, I can't imagine a better place to shelter from the rain! Seagem lived up to expectations for a second year and I loved being able to see/watch the "lighter" evenings from my balcony. The house was as comfortable as I remember and central to the facilities of Mawgan Porth.
