Beautiful location close to Bude and Widemouth Bay, Rustic accommodation with breathtaking sea views, nice heated pool and hot tub, tennis court and friendly owners. Village pub the Bullers Arms is excellent and well worth a visit to eat and drink.
We will definitely come again as Hilton Farm takes some beating
Stayed in Manor Cottage for a week in August 2017. Property was as described and is in a good location 15 minute walk to Marhamchurch village centre (had 2 great meals in the Buller's Arms, advise to book!), 5 minute drive to Bude town centre and 5 minutes drive to Widemouth Bay. Kids loved the outdoor pool and the hot tub. Also made use of the tennis court and the games room. These all proved to be God sends as the weather wasn't particularly great when we stayed. Travelled with a dog and the place is extremely dog friendly as is the beach at Widemouth Bay and the beach in Bude (Summerleaze). Highly recommended for those travelling with a young family.
There were 26 in our party including 10 children 6 and under. We found the houses just perfect for the little ones (and the big ones too!) The pool was a real bonus as the weather was very ropey for the beach. The location is perfect for exploring the area and so lovely and quiet. The atmosphere of the site was very calm and relaxed - plenty on room, well provided with all the necessary facilities. The houses were very well equipped and comfortable in every way.
Stayed for 9 nights in Swallows nest at the end of June. It was a nice touch to put milk in the fridge and tea coffee and sugar sachets so you can have a cuppa when you arrive. The kitchen area was fine and beds were clean and made up for us and the wifi worked perfectly. I do feel though that the whole place could do with a bit of tlc. The rug in the lounge looked like it was off the back of a donkey from Tunisia, serious lack of power points and if you wanted the heating on you lose tv and wifi. The veranda, steps and picnic table could all do with sanding and a stain. The games room was full of broken cues and toys and full of cobwebs. We did try to use the washer and dryer but it seemed in constant use from the owners.
All in all I think the pictures advertised were taken a long time ago and this place needs some serious love and attention for the prices that are being charged.
We recently stayed at Hilton Farm in Pear Tree Cottage for a week.
Pear Tree was a cosy clean cottage with beautiful views and there was lots to do in the surrounding areas. The pool, tennis court and hot tub are brilliant too!
The owners couldn't have been any more welcoming or accommodating.
Overall we had a great time and would recommend this to anyone.
Excellent short break. Stable cottage a little more compact than I'd have liked I think we'd have struggled with 2 border collies if it had rained.
Otherwise wonderful. Great views. Fab pool. Quiet get away from it break with bude on the doorstep.
Woukd I book again. Yes.
The cottage we had (manor) was the keenest size for 3 adults and 2 children. Faye the owner made sure we had a travel cot, highchair and stair gate as well as a baby bath and black out blinds, more than you'd expect. The grounds were full of fun; trampoline, slide and football as well as a clean and warm pool and hot tub. It was a quiet and picturesque place, great location, 10 minutes to 2 beaches and the town of Bude. We'll be back to check out the local pub
