We stayed in the parlour. Accommodation was faultless. Facilities were wonderful. Very friendly owners. Nothing was any trouble. We would definitely recommend it to anyone with children. Ours are 3 and 6 and loved the very warm swimming pool, games room and tennis court. Animals are also an added bonus. Local pub is very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Our 4th visit to this delightful cottage along with our 2 year old labrador called Oliver. We absolutely adore this cottage and there are always a few tears when we leave! Vicky showed us around The Dolphins which is certainly on our list to bring the family. Widemouth beach is fabulous. As said before we will return.

We have just returned from a blissful week spent at Little Northcott Cottage and all I can say is, I wish we could go back again now!

My friend and I decided to take off for a girls-only week with just our two dogs for company (and entertainment). We wanted somewhere quiet, with lots of space for two large dogs to play, close to lots of walks and beaches and we were not disappointed. Little Northcott is a beautiful cottage surrounded by farmland with a tantalising view of the sea. I don't know who was the most thrilled, us or the dogs. The cottage had everything we could wish for - it was very clean, beautifully decorated, plenty of room for two dog crates, safe and enclosed garden, every kitchen utensil you could need and a big TV and DVD for all the films we brought with us. A hose-pipe would be a nice addition to clean the dogs off after the walks. Still, the dogs had fun with buckets of water being thrown over them - not sure who was the wettest after that! Little Northcott is a distance from the main complex, but this was perfect for us.

We were very spoilt on our first day at the cottage when the wonderful Vicky Barnes came to the cottage to give us both top to toe massages. What a treat and a great start to our holiday! After this we were hooked and visited Vicky at her beautiful therapy room for a couple more relaxing treatments. Here we were introduced to the magical Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage, an experience that shouldn't be missed.

We walked miles over the week enjoying the breathtaking scenery, friendly villiages and interesting shops in Bude (not forgetting the pasty shop). The dogs had a fabulous time exploring the beaches and clifftops. We managed to catch low tide on a couple of days and walked from Crooklets Beach to Sandymouth which was a great walk and the dogs enjoyed all the rockpools. I expect that there will be a lot of sulking from both of us now that we are home!

This was a fabulous week away, totally stress-free and everything I could have wished for in a holiday with my dog. I will certainly be going back to Little Northcott in the future!!

First impressions last. Upon our arrival (27/1/12) as a group of six adults we were greeted and instantly made to feel at ease. We were shown around the sycamore cottage which had three bedrooms (one room has two single beds, one has on suite with a huge tele and the other has a double bed) a huge living room with log burner (loads of wood for you to burn) a 42' freeview tele and dvd player, a small sitting area with an excellent iPod dock to listen to your music. It has a nice family size kitchen with big fridge and freezer along with a dishwasher, microwave and the usual utensils you would need (no need to bring anything other than your food and drink) it has a utility room with washing machine and a big garden with a 6 person hot tub !!! You can park two cars directly outside your door and within about 30 steps is a small gym, games room (also has a small selection of DVDs to borrow) next to that is a nice size heated swimming pool. We also made use of the spa treatment that is on site (vicky Barnes) who was fantastic and really knows her stuff !!!. Directly opposite is the local pub which came in handy before the nighttime hot tub dip !!
In all this place is fantastic and anyone that continues to search the web after looking at this place must be mad !! It's my 40th in may and we are looking to have it back here.
We all enjoyed our stay and the owners are very friendly and very helpful. Well done court farm !!!

Four adults plus toddler (3½) and baby (six months) stayed in Sycamore and had a wonderful Christmas. This property was as described on the website so there were no unpleasant surprises and was spot on for our requirements. Everything was clean and up to date with plenty of kitchen utensils etc. A lot of helpful information was available, leaflets etc plus magazines and a box of toys for children. We used the hot tub three times (plus Champagne!) and the swimming pool was just a walk away and is a great addition to the site. It was very warm and has more than adequate shower and changing facilities. We didn’t use the tennis court or outdoor playground (plenty of apparatus and ride-ons provided) but we did visit and feed the pigs, alpacas and chickens. The amenities at Court Farm were a bonus for all of us but especially good for family activities. If anyone finds my Cross pen in the Cluedo box can they please return it!!

It would have been a shame if we had missed all this, which was very nearly the case as three of the adults work and could not travel down to Cornwall until the day before Christmas Eve (a Friday). An enquiry was sent thus “we are interested in your properties for a one week stay at Christmas. However, as Christmas Eve is on Saturday 24 December we would want to travel down to you on Friday 23 December – can you be flexible or should we only look at those properties with a Friday to Friday changeover?” (Three bedroomed Sycamore with ensuite was Saturday to Saturday but we wanted to arrive before to prepare for Father Christmas).

The reply: “We realise its a little hard to please everyone but we like to give everyone time to settle in and it must fit in with cleaning staff !!” sic
Looks like its thursday or friday changeovers” sic

We did find somewhere else we wanted that was helpful and could accommodate us but one of our party was particularly keen on the swimming pool so took the time and trouble to approach Court Farm once more. Apparently spoke to someone else and got a positive response. Oddly we were then looked after from day one, eg the chaps wanted to watch a football match that was on Sky so they were invited to watch in the empty Farmhouse, save driving to Bude. Appropriate normal service resumed……..

The ‘child-friendly’ facilities would not ordinarily be of interest but we would still stay in Marhamchurch as a couple and it would be an ideal location for visiting the surrounding area at any time of year. Christmas Eve was especially memorable though as everyone was invited to sing carols around the Church tree – it was covered in fairy lights and some brought lanterns. Magical!

Marhamchurch is a quiet village just outside Bude and there are lots of local walks including the canal towpath into Bude itself. The Bullers Arms across the road is a good quality olde worlde pub and the food is of a high standard. Very friendly staff there who helped us out on our first evening with a meal for the little one when the Waitrose delivery was behind schedule. We also had a ‘takeway’ from their standard menu one evening and can thoroughly recommend.

Two of us had a treatment from Vicky at Court Farm and we both agreed it was one of the best either of us had ever had. She is first class and not expensive. Small room but very cosy – had our eyes shut anyway!

We can definitely recommend Court Farm for its facilities and the village of Marhamchurch for any time of year and not just for children.

Room Tip: All rooms looked good to us.

We have just had a fabulous weekend. We stayed in the court farm farmhouse and it felt like we were staying in one of our own homes - the decor and amenities were up to a great standard. There were 11 of us and we had enough room for us to do our own thing or all sit around the TV and watch a DVD, or all sit around the big dining table for dinner. The house was well heated and the beds! so comfy!

We had the most relaxing time - some had treatments, some went shopping in Bude or for a walk on the beach. We even fed the animals.

A perfect weekend getaway.

It was a lovely weekend... we're even thinking about making it a regular event!

I have just returned from a weekend stay at Court farm and can thouroughly recommend the accomodaton, location and hospitality.

The accomocation catered for all our needs we were a group of 6 couples with 5 children aged 2 and under. Good quality accomnodation with lots of space and equipment to suit everyones needs. We got to feed the animals, smaple the eggs from the hens and enjoy the swimming pool.

The location is great for access to Bude and lovely for some peace away from it all and a quick drink in the pub across the road
