We have just got back from a 1 night stay over the weekend and have been singing their praises since. We stayed in the suite, which is seperate (but next to) the House and had a really great stay. On arrival, the Manor House looked very impressive and we were warmly greeted by Geoff, who gave us a tour of the House which offers huge rooms all tastefully and comfortably finished with plenty of original finishes and character. On taking us to the suite, he showed us where everthing was and offered us a coffee. The suite was much larger than we expected and had everything you would have wanted and was really comfortable and felt like our own cottage for the weekend. All the nice touches such as leaving coffee., tea, milk, chocolates and biscuits were really thoughful and even the wood burner had been made up ready just to be lit! There were also books to read and a detailed guide for the area with details of everything you might need. They clearly put their hearts into this business and it shows. Breakfast in the main house was also plentiful and really nice. All in all, a great place to stay, fantastic location close to Padstow and numerous beaches/walks, really nice accomodation with many personal touches and Geoff was very accomodating. We will both definitley be going back.

We have just returned from 4 wonderful nights staying at Molesworth Manor. A true Cornish gem! Having stayed in numerous places around Padstow and the surrounding area over many years, we had (sadly) overlooked Molesworth Manor. But as they say, saving the best until last is the most perfect way to describe this wonderful B&B.

As soon as you enter the long, sweeping driveway to the ample lawns and parking out front of this gorgeous Victorian Vicarage, you cannot help but feel you have found somewhere special. Walking through the imposing gothic arched front door, you enter a world of historic architecture that is a journey back in time. The quality of the two resident lounges decorated in a period sympathetic to the house's history are superb. A friendly welcome awaits and any specific needs are no trouble to the owners who made our stay most pleasureable. Our room was superb with stunning views, and the en-suite faciltiies including a huge bath just as required. The breakfast choice was excellent, and the full 'cornish' cooked brekkie one of the best we have enjoyed in years! Access to Padstow is simple, driving or by foot walking along the lovely Camel Estuary.

We have already booked our return visit, which must be the most perfect recommendation one can give Molesworth Manor.

Room Tip: The South Room should provide visitors with all needed for a wonderful stay.

Although we know the area around Padstow pretty well we did not know about Molesworth Manor until we saw the sign that had been erected by the driveway entrance and thank goodness we did as it was literally a hidden gem! We spent a long weekend staying there for our 5th wedding anniversary and it was idyllic. A former rectory, the place reeks of history and has a special relaxing atmosphere, especially on a cold autumnal evening when the open log fire is blazing in the residents lounge. We stayed in the South Room which was very clean and comfortable, boasting a large free standing bath and large walk in shower in the bathroom. The breakfasts are excellent with a daily special to tempt you. Freshly squeezed orange juice each day along with freshly baked muffins (different each morning) make for a very good start to the day. There is an honesty bar for residents which is unusual but very welcome if you fancy a drink but don't want to go out. Geoff and Jess are great hosts and we will definitely be returning and also recommending them to our friends

My wife and I have just returned from a delightful weekend on the North Cornish coast and we stayed at the most comfortable B&B imaginble - Molesworth Manor, Little Petherick, a little under two miles from Padstow. A really comfortable bedroom, peaceful lounges with a welcome log fire and an excellent breakfast with some clever little local touches. A place to which we shall undoubtedly return and will relish the prospect. A little gem! Dick Macey.

We spent two days here whilst in the Padstow area and what an excellent choice it turned out to be. Molesworth Manor was apparently originally a large Victorian vicarage but it is now a really wonderful B&B which retains many original features including large gothic windows. The decor has, however, been very tastefully done in a more modern style without feeling at all out of place with the architecture.
The hosts are very welcoming and attentive and it was delightful to be offered tea and biscuits in front of a warming real fire in the guest lounge on our arrival. The room we stayed in was huge, complete with a chaise-longue and a very comfortable bed. I have to say that the breakfast was utterly delicious with a vast choice of fuits, berries and cereals as well as a classic 'full English' made with local ingredients, free range where possible. It's hard to see how it could have been better. Overall, a five star establishment which we heartily recommend to other travellers.

Room Tip: We stayed in the ladyship room which was wonderful.

What a gem of a B&B! The place is stunning, with lovely staff and a great breakie to set you up for the day. My only slight whinge (and this is minor) is that the beds could of done with being firmer, as three out of the four of our party prefer hard beds. But that said I will definitely stay here when I return to Padstow.

Room Tip: All the rooms were decorated to a high standard, but if there is a group of you then the cosy little...

My wife was keen to visit Rick Stein's restaurant in the nearby Padstow for sometime so we decided to visit the Cornwall coastal area for the last weekend in September 2012. We booked the Molesworth Manor about three months before our visit and this was done simply over the phone with Jessica (co-owner with her hsuband Geoff). The Molesworth Manor is a very picturesque guesthouse in the quiet rural area of Little Petherick, which is a few miles from the seaside town of Padstow (or as some of the locals call it "Padstein"). It cost about £8 in a taxi from the Molesworth Manor to Padstow.

We drove down from Bristol and upon reaching the countryside area of Little Petherick, we were flabbergasted by the beautiful picturesque rolling green hills of the Cornwall countryside. Upon driving up the narrow driveway to Molesworth Manor, we were very much impressed by the beautiful grand guesthouse. Co-owner Geoff met us at the front door with a big smile and friendly chat. He gave us a tour of the guesthouse and immediately we felt at home. He showed us the beautiful sitting room with it georgian decor and high ceilings that also had a supply of books and DVDs that we can bring to our room. Beside that was a dining room/living room of similar decor that also commodated the "honesty" bar. After a brief tour of the manor, Geoff showed us to our room. The room was perfect for our weekend break; a comfortable double bed with a modern flatscreen TV with an inbuilt DVD player.

Insofar as guesthouses go, the Molesworth Manor is absolutely outstanding. The location, decor and standard of service really showed us that Geoff and Jessica French make the wellbeing of their guests a top priority. What surprises me more is that I thought that the standard of this guesthouse was so good that it should be considered a hotel. My wife thought that our weekend away In Cornwall was one of the best breaks that she has ever been on and this is undoubtedly due to the outstanding accommodation at Molesworth Manor. If we were to return to the area, we would definitely stay at the Molesworth Manor again.
