We booked this hotel based entirely on the Tripadvisor comments and we weren't disappointed.

The house is Victorian, but don't go thinking that its in anyway shabby or out of date ; it's been sensitively adapted to its new purpose and does it well.. The host and hostess are welcoming and treat their guests as just that ... guests.

The room was plenty large enough and the en-suite was well appointed and up to date.

The Breakfast was good. The fruit salad was wonderful and the "full English" well cooked. We had dinner in the hotel. The menu is predetermined and we chose our dishes the previous day. The food was well cooked and tasty.

At £99 a night for the room and B + B and £30 for dinner this hotel is excellent value and a real Gem.

Room Tip: Room 6 is excellent. Roomy, comfortable and wonderful views over the countryside.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in august whilst attending a friends wedding. We opted for the bog standard double which was small but clean and well presented with a lovely en suite. The breakfast was lovely (so pleased to find eggs Benedict on the menu!) And the hosts were attentive, chatty and very very helpful considering we didn't know how long we wanted to stay. On the outskirts of town it is perfectly placed for getting about and we would definitely stay here again to explore the area!

This is a period hotel, located just on the outskirts of Liskeard, but easily within walking distance of the town centre. Lovely room with views of the extensive gardens, and all the amenities you would expect from a quality hotel.
The breakfast was excellent and well hosted by the owners.
Definatly worth a stay!!!

My wife and I had room 3 for 2 nights on the 28th July. Magnificent views over the valley, a balcony and a king size bed. We had one dinner and two breakfasts. The food quality was very high indeed. I don't normally have full breakfast but having tried it once, I had to have it again. The facilities were exactly as I expected and as I wanted. We were visiting the area (which we know well) for a wedding nearby and it was a perfect complement to the wedding celebrations. Quiet, relaxed, and beautiful location and house. Many thanks to our hosts.
