What a great small attraction! We arrived by coach and were welcomed personally by the owners - despite them having a wedding to prepare. We were given a brief and interesting history of the cavern and then split into two groups. One group being given a personal guided tour whilst the other was encouraged to take a woodland walk through the beautiful surrounding area. The guided tour was informative and enjoyable - engaging all my very cynical 16 + students - they were especially taken with the underground lake.
A lovely peaceful way to end 3 busy days touring - outstanding customer service - thank you!!

After reading the previous review entitled 'Last Tango' I couldn't help but respond with, what I would consider, the majorities version of events...

My partner and myself went to see 'Tango In The Night do Fleetwood Mac' last Friday night and really enjoyed ourselves - the staff were helpful and friendly, as we're the proprietors, and it is unquestionably an astonishingly unique music venue!

Nonetheless, there was a minority who wanted to 'woop', scream and shout at each other throughout even the most quiet of numbers... Despite the kind requests of the owner during the interval, who attempted to subtlety resolve matters by reminding the minority of irritators about the acoustics of the venue (which was greeted with a round of applause from the crowd), this continued into the second half of the performance. the wrongdoers were rightly dealt with.

In this sense, don't let these reviewers put you off - The owners have since taken the chance to reply to our email of concerns with their sincerest of apologies about the evenings events and a well thought out action plan to stop any future problems.

If you enjoy live music in a friendly and intimate atmosphere then Carnglaze is still the place for you!

I've visited Carnglaze many times in the past 5 or so years, every time as a concert venue. It is like no other and so unique with the constant cool temperature creating an eerie but exciting atmosphere, the beautiful slate and the sound of great music resounding around the caves. Prices are fair and the acoustics are second to none.

Unfortunately acoustics can work against you. You can hear the band if stood right at the back, but unfortunately if you are stood right at the back and are talking, it can be heard right down the front, even when the band are playing.

With all due respect to the comment below, yes people are allowed to let their hair down when going to a gig, but not at the expense of other paying people. Believe it or not, many people have separated with THEIR hard earned cash to go and LISTEN to a music act- not to listen to other selfish people rabbitting away at the front, middle or any point of the cave. If people want to dance, by all means dance and enjoy. But if people want to get drunk, "woop" loudly to draw attention to themselves or chatter throughout the whole performance then go down to your nearest pub; not over the top of musicians.

Despite this, the venue is amazing and would definitely reccommend. There is a real "warm" atmosphere here as it is intimate. Shall return!

We had the most amazing wedding at Carnglaze Caverns. Caroline & Graham were the perfect hosts. They were well organzed and made sure everything went smoothly for us. The Caverns and surrounding woodlands are simply stunning to look around. Even more so when we lit 600 tea lights in the caverns add a little music and it was just fairytale at its best. It was all we thought it would be and more. All our guests were in awe of the caverns and said it was well worth the 6 hour journey to be there. What more can we say simply a beautiful place to visit. We will see you again next year. love Mr & Mrs Clarke x
